Chapter 17: Runaway

This chapter is more about how Michael and Cat are dealing with cass and rogue's reaction to you with michael and cat.

Your POV

"How is this all my fault?!"

"It is all your fault! You're the eldest and you brought them up for the previous four years! They got this from you!"

"That doesn't give you the right to blame me for this! Have you thought about what you might've done to cause this?!"

"Why would I have caused this? They're your siblings!"

"Yes but their under your supervision now so you should be taking full responsibility of them."

"Don't go blaming me for this! This has nothing to do with supervision! This is all about how they were brought up!"

"This has everything to do with supervision! What's makes you think that you have the right to criticise about my parenting skills? Where have you been for the past four years?"

"I'm not criticising you, I'm teaching you where you need improvement on your skills! Like what your teaching them is horrible! I saw Michael move rocks without having to touch them and he covered me in dirt. And the other day while Catalina was in the bathtub, she moved the water out of the tub and splashed it all over me!"

I smirk at this, trying not to laugh.

"You taught them magic! This isn't what normal kids should be learning!"

"Well Michael and Catalina aren't normal, their mages. Michael can control earth and Catalina can control water. It's in their genes. Just like me being the elemental dragon slayer. It's in my genes. You can't help it, they need to learn to control it and get stronger with it."

"Well how do you suppose I do that?! I can't do this, 'magic' thing! How am I supposed to teach them?"

"You're not. I'll call some people and ask them to teach them and I'll even help them in learning. The only thing you need to do is allow a few hours a week for me to take them to an area where they can do their magic."

"Ugh, fine just as long as you return them to me safely and teach them properly."

"I will."

"I'll be coming around to pick them up first thing tomorrow morning. Just give me your current address."

"Don't bother, I'll drop them off tomorrow before nightfall so I can introduce them to their teachers." I hang up before Cass has a chance to reply. I place my phone on the kitchen bench and sigh, rubbing my temples.

After Rogue and I returned home late at night from our lovely date, we heard noises coming from the living room. Once we turned on the lights, we saw Michael and Cat standing there with their pyjamas on. A few Q and A's later, we found out that they ran away from Aunt Cass because they didn't like her. They wanted me to live with them again. They wanted me to be there with them. But I told them that I couldn't. I tried telling them to go back home, but they refused to return to Cass. Rogue decided they could sleep here tonight with the exceeds. He gave them a snack each as I walked into the kitchen and called Cass. She was outraged that they ran away from her and continued to criticise me about my teaching skills.
