Recap:
"I'm so sorry," I choke out and Kit quietens down to wrap me in a hug.

"It's okay. I forgive you." She whispers and kisses my head softly. "I love you so much," her voices cracks and tears prick my eyes.

"I love you too." I softly reply and that's when I'm, finally, able to fall asleep.

*****

"That thing, that moment, when everything around you becomes hazy and the only thing in focus is you and this person and you realise that that person is the only person that you should be kissing for the rest of your life and for one moment you get this amazing gift and you wanna laugh and you wanna cry because you feel so lucky that you found it and so, so scared that it's all going to go away at the same time." - Never Been Kissed

{26th June, Sunday. I'm so far behind in this story}

"Babe, time to wake up..." Kirstin's soft voice brings me out of my sleep and I groan, shoving my face into the pillow.

"What time is it?" I croak and she pauses for a second, probably checking.

"It's 10:30. We slept in." She replies and I groan again, forcing myself to sit up. There's a chime from her phone and she checks it as I rub my eyes. "Scott and Mitch have gone to get everyone coffee and want to know what you want."

"Uh, is it Starbucks?" I ask and she nods. "Um.... Can I just have an Iced Caramel Macchiato?"

"Yeah, course." She quickly types a reply and I just sit there, staring at her. She sends the messages and turns to me, eyebrows furrowing when I choke on my spit slightly. "What's wrong?"

I quickly get on my knees and crawl over to her, gently taking her face in my hands and tilting it so I can see her left cheek. A giant red mark sits there and she must realise what I'm doing because she yanks her head away.

"It's fine." She smiles but I can see the tears in her eyes.

"I'm so sorry," I cry and wrap her in a hug. "I'm so, so, so sorry."

She hugs me back and I sob into her shoulder, my heart aching.

I can't believe I slapped her.
