Henry got in trouble again.
He didn't realize that there was a punishment to pushing someone too hard on the swings if they were taking too long. Even though the boy now had scrapes on his knees, he did not think it hurt that bad.
So he walked to the middle of the field, his punishment. While everyone played in the playground he was sent to the empty field.
Well not that quite empty, there was Genevieve Bridgeham in the middle of the field, her gold hair spilled onto the grass, closing her eyes. Henry never actually talked to Genevieve before so as he laid next to her, he felt awkward.
"Don't you not like her?" Genevieve spoke up.
Henry opened one eye in curiosity and turned to her.
"Mrs. Kam always tells the bad kids to go to the field next to me because kids think I'm weird and no one wants to hang around the weird ones. What's so weird about not bragging how much money you have or what car you own? Who cares?!"
Henry a hundred percent agreed with her on that. He may have been a quite charmer, but he hated people who bragged about how much their parents made monthly. He was surprised at the fact that she hated when people bragged about how much money they had, considering how openly rich her family is.
"Maybe that's why no one wants to be friends with me." She spoke silently. "I'm too different."
Henry grinned at this. He liked different. He always wondered why girls jumped to conclusions. "Well, Genevieve. You just made a new friend."

"Man up Henry and ask her out already."
Henry grunted again, too nervous to ask gorgeous Eliza Archibald out to the Winter Dance. He turned his head towards Eliza's lunch table and when she caught his gaze, he instantly shot his head down.
Oh, how he loved her blue eyes taken from her father and her black hair from her mother, it made her purely beautiful.
Genevieve rolled her brown eyes and pestered him on manning up. He had a crush on her since he laid eye on her in the fifth grade and Genevieve usually helped him in his conquests, most of them failing.
"Come on, Henry!" She exclaimed. "Everyone heard that Baxton was going to ask her out to the dance at lunch!"
"Oh shot me, G. You only want me to ask her out now because of your not so secret crush on Baxton!"
