Daveigh opened her eyes with monumental effort. Therewas an awful kink in her neck she just couldn't seem to work out no matter which way she stretched and on top of it all, she was hungry. She looked around, and tried to move her arms but they were tied behind her. She struggled for a bit but the ties were strong. Or she was weak. It could have been either.

"Oh, you're awake, fantastic. So I decided I'm going to use you to lure Michael into Limbo, and then I'm going to kill him. I forced Alyssa to help me but between us girls, I bet she's delighted to see that fucker dead."

"Kill him, for all I care."

"Cold."

"Just leave me and Owen out of it."

"No can do. Well, the you part, Owen is free to do whatever he wants, really. You on the other hand, I'm unfortunately going to have to borrow you for a little. I don't have the luxury of asking your permission, so you'll have to forgive the crude welcome. I can promise you that you'll leave here relatively unharmed, if all goes according. Scout's honour."

"Comforting. I don't get you, you come here to torture Alyssa, and now you're trying to hurt Michael."

"Had a change of heart. Kind of. I'm still a murderer and all around son of a bitch, but I've recently changed my mind on who I want to murder. Kinda tired of the whole psychopathic brother schpiel. Might go retire on the beach. Write murder mysteries in my spare time. Sip sundowners while listening to the ocean."

"Sounds nice. Well, as nice as utter bullshit can sound. Why are you wasting breathe on me, Drake? You're not going to gain any sympathy. Unless, heaven forbid, I was right about you the first time and you really just do like the sound of your own voice."

"Glad to see you have a little spunk in you. You have moxy. Well, for one, I thought I might do you the service of letting you know why you're here. You probably deserve that much."

"Bite me you sadistic fuck." Daveigh spat.

"I'll leave the biting to you if it's all the same. You know, you and your sister remind me of someone I really cared about, Daveigh."

"Don't you go near my... She's my cousin. Why did you say sister?"

"Oh."

"Oh what?"

"I guess I owe you this much. The night we met, Juliet told me about her mother's affair with Jack Deadroses."

"No."

"Doubt her father even knew."

"You're lying. What kind of sick son of a bitch would make up something like that?"

"I'm sorry you had to find out like this. And while I might not exactly head to the beach, I do have people to kill, friends to murder, family to annihilate, and I am just about done with the CW teen drama. At some point, you just gotta get to the point, right? To that end, I'm going to borrow your phone one more time. Like I said, you kids nowadays and your interwebs and MyBooks and FaceSpaces. Makes you all the more easy to manipulate."

Alyssa cleared her throat, making her presence known.

" Drake, you might be old, but you're a decade too young and a little too stupid to talk down to the kids when you've managed to get your plans ruffled up without so much as a postal address." Alyssa exasperatedly half smiled.

"Well, I'll leave her in your capable hands. Make sure she isn't a problem, will you?"  Drake shrugged, and walked away.

"You know, I've had my necked twisted damn near off my head more times than I can count but I've never really managed to get used to the feeling when you wake up."  Alyssa crouched down in front of Daveigh.
