Lucas P.O.V.

My dad eventually walked into the room and they both listened to my retelling of what happened at Willow's house. They were upset that I had been sneaking into her room for the past week, but were glad I did because otherwise no one would've known what that Willow's 'mom' wasn't actually her mom. They also didn't like the way I got into her room. Well, at least mom didn't. Dad winked and gave me a thumbs up behind her head, but he put on a show for mom. When I told them about the part where she had a gun, they were livid. My mom looked like she wanted to rip that lady limb from limb, and my dad agreed with her for once.

When I was finished I was worried that my parents didn't believe me, but my fears were unfounded. Dad's a cop, and he told me that he'd go in to the station and try to help find Willow. I wanted to go drive around in my car and look for Willow, but my dad told me not to because it wouldn't be a good idea. I also gave them the book and passport because I figured maybe they could use it down at the station. My parents told me that I needed to go to my room and they'd tell me what they found in the morning.

I didn't want to wait until morning, but when I walked into my room I crashed. I planned on sneaking out and going to look for Willow anyway, but I honestly couldn't even keep my eyes open.

As soon as I woke up I jumped out of bed and got ready in a hurry. Then I barreled down the stairs past my younger sister and went into the kitchen. Mom had breakfast ready, and it looked like everyone but me had already eaten. What time was it? I grabbed my cracked phone out of my pocket and looked at the time. It was eight am. I usually wake up at seven, but I guess I deserved to sleep in a little bit after the ordeal I went through yesterday. I did feel guilty about it though because I didn't go look for Willow.

I grabbed a plate and shoved some food on it before yelling for my dad. He cam into the kitchen with a newspaper in one hand, and a cup of coffee in the other. I opened my mouth to ask about Willow, but he stopped me. "No we haven't found your friend yet, but we found some some leads. We are contacting Willow's actual parents and the woman's ex to see if they might know anything we don't." I frowned at the news that they hadn't actually found her yet. They couldn't have gotten that far, right?

Dad must've seen the look on my face because he told me, "Lucas the best thing you can do is wait. Don't worry, we'll find her. If you want, I suppose you could drive around town to look if it makes you feel better." I nodded my head, and threw the rest of my breakfast away. Then he added, "Hey I suppose you could even put up flyers or something so if someone sees them they can report it."

I sighed, and nodded my head. I wished I could do more, but this would have to work for now.
