Reader's P.O.V.
Like I mentioned before, I'm not the musical type but I did enjoy playing for people, especially the old ladies. They lingered around me long after everyone else went on with their day. They giggled and flirted with me. I got the impression that they did it to embarrass me. They treated me like their son and would always give me food and ask if I was eating ok or how my day was going. I appreciated how worried they were for me. Mrs. Okawa was the oldest and had black hair when she was younger, Mrs. Shino was the second eldest with previously red hair and Mrs. Riza was the youngest out of the three with previously brown hair. Though they weren't far in age which was evident in their wrinkles and ever decreasing senses. They all wore glasses and nearly had Alzheimer's.
Mrs. Okawa: Stand still (Y/n), you have some lent on you suit.
She says as she brushed it off.
Mrs. Shino: My, your such a handsome boy and you dress so sharp.
Mrs. Riza: I don't want you staying out too late you hear? I don't want yo running into a murder or something. If something happened to you'd give us all a triple heart attack.
(Y/n): But I'm old enough to stay out as long as I want.
I argued at the risk of sounding like a toddler. They never took me seriously and giggled at my response.
(Y/n): I should be worried about you three not the other way around.
Mrs. Riza: But your our darling little song bird, just seeing you everyday is the only thing keeping me alive. If it weren't for you, I probably would have croaked already.
She joked. However, none of us were willing to leave the other one alone so before we even realized it I spent my day with them well into the night. When we realized it was getting late, I offered to walk them home and we joined hand in hand down the sidewalk. Those three ladies we're like three peas in a pod and the best of friends. No doubt that they were all planning on dyeing together since they shared the same house. It's sad but sweet at the same time.
Mrs. Shino: Oh my, who are all of you again?
Mrs. Okawa: You old bat.
She teased.
Mrs. Okawa: I'll remind you when we get to the house.
They cracked me up sometimes. I thought to myself as we neared their home in the distance. They sent me off with a homemade batch of curry, rice and cakes as we waved good bye. I parted my own way home and started to play my violin along the way. It was certainly dark...and eerily quiet but the sound of my music helped tremendously. However when your alone you can't help but get the feeling your being watched. I just know something is going to pop out in front of me when I least expect it. Why do I feel a back of the head punch coming. I was tempted to not turn the corner I was nearing and turn back to the more lit side of town but this way was a lot quicker. Even if I regret it, I can say with honesty that my life was pretty great. With all the stuff that's been happening lately, anyone would be on guard when thy are out.
Though my paranoia made me feel like I was in one of those horror stories when really I had nothing to worry about. When I did turn the corner, there was movement. I was sure it was a person in the cover of darkness. It was definitely a person upon closer inspection. I had even noticed that I was still playing my violin the entire time.
Lucy's P.O.V.
I had never felt so free. Wondering and waiting for my next victim. My senses were much more heightened, waiting to end the life of a none in my path. It was a wave of ecstasy that the DNA Voice inside of me loved to no end. I had recently killed a man down the rode, he was putting up a fight and was better off dead. Traces of his blood still tainted my skin and I watched it drip to the ground before I looked up intently. I sensed someone nearing. Every second, their footsteps got louder and I waited for them to come within sight and have a whole new wave of blood spraying the streets. Along with this was another sound that I didn't know. When the footsteps began to slow down, signaling they were about to turn the corner or they had noticed me. I wasted no guide my vectors towards them and in that moment, a tune had reached my ears. My vectors immediately stopped mere centimeters away from this human male seemingly paralyzed when they had every intent to kill only moment before.
I didn't know what was happening but I got my control back. My head began to pulse and memories started flying forward beyond my control and then that's when the image of Kouta's music box and it's lovely tune played in my head. I didn't even realize I was un tensing. My vectors where withdrawing and I found myself humming slowly along to the melody.
(Y/n): Oh...hello, I didn't see you in the darkness over there....
I didn't answer this human. I wanted to end him right here and now but for some strange reason, as much as I wanted to kill him I couldn't get my vectors to move. I merely stood before him, unresponsive and staring at his violin which he seemed to play as if it was just part of him like my vectors where to me. That's when he took notice of something.
(Y/n): You like the violin?
He said as he suddenly stopped playing but I wish he continued. He appeared as if he was going to question me more before his eyes widened with surprise.
(Y/n): Is that blood on your hands?! Are you ok Mrs.?
