Reader's P.O.V.
When (Baby's name) had grew a little bigger, we decided to take him outside. Currently, Lucy and I were getting ready to a visit with the three old ladies. Before (Baby's name) was born, they had sent over a lot of baby stuff which we greatly appreciated. It was time we introduced them to (Y/n) and thank them for being such a great help.
I packed a backpack of supplies that I thought (Y/n) would need while we were out like bottle, diapers and things like that. I strapped the backpack onto me and looked back to see Lucy picking up (baby's name) with her vectors and gently placing him in her baby carrier. He immediately grabbed for Lucy long pink locks and attempted to out the into his mouth. Instead of sucking on his mothers hair, Lucy quickly put his pacifier into his mouth. (Baby's name) sucked on it happily with his toothless gums and slowly started to close his eyes. It was cute seeing him rest against Lucy's chest.
When we were ready to head out, Lucy and I began our walk to the three old ladies house. Once again, as we neared them, they were on their porch, chatting about numerous things before noticing our figures in the distance.
Mrs. Riza: Oh I just love children, I want to have the first hold.
Mrs. Riza said as all three of the old woman spotted (Y/n) right away, distracting them from greeting us like usual.
Mrs. Okawa: That's not fair.
Mrs. Okawa complained. The three of them ended up arguing over (Y/n) until they eventually took turns holding him. (Baby's name) woke up by the time Mrs. Okawa got her hands on him but he didn't seem to mind all the attention. I knew that now they know we have a growing child, they'll be sending us home with lots of food from now on, trying to stuff all of us, especially (Baby's name). They where enjoying their time with him (Baby's name), cooing at him and pinching his cheeks. I would let them baby sit but I'm afraid they are getting a bit senile. I couldn't risk them seeing that our baby wasn't human but I had a strong feeling that even if they found out, they wouldn't care.
We had visited with them for at least 2 hours before moving on. They were about to take their daily naps and pills but not before packing us a lunch fit for a king, along with jars of mushy baby food for (Baby's name). We thanked them before having a walk around the neighborhood. I reached in the backpack I was carrying any pulled out a camera. Just like the time we went to the zoo, I took lots of pictures. I also made sure to get as many baby pictures of (Baby's name) while he was an infant. I didn't want to miss anything, knowing he'll never be a baby again. Lucy and I had already continued on my photo album with new up to date photos of our family. I took a picture of Lucy and (Baby's name) in the baby carrier and thinking how I couldn't wait to get the pictures developed like all the others. I could just see all out memories building up over the years. Who knows what adventures we'll have.....and I swore I could hear Lillium's descent playing in the background......
Time skip (3 years later)......
Nana's P.O.V.
I was eleven years old now, 3 years ago I had never knew what a birth day was or why it was even celebrated but it was a lot of fun. I had a family now. I was happy. I still remember when Kouta and Yuka came home one day with a smaller human. It was so cute and I couldn't help but notice how much it looked like Lucy. However, she was slightly older now and could walk on her own. Kouta and Yuka held her hand and we all walked along the beach. Miyu ran along the shore as Wanta barked after her. They both had grown too. It looked fun to run so I joined them. The wind rushed through my hair as the cool waved crashed against my feet. I laughed for only a moment before I felt a strong and familiar presence. I was....sensing another diclonious....I hadn't felt any near by in all this time. This diclonious, however, was very familiar and I thought of someone I knew a few years a go....Lucy....I never forgot her. I thought she was dead. It couldn't be her, maybe it was a mistake.
I wanted to be sure, I didn't want it to be true that she was coming back for revenge but I had to make sure just in case. I found myself running towards her position and the feeling in me got stronger as I heard Kouta shouting at me.
Meanwhile........
Reader's P.O.V.
(Child's name): Daddy, Mommy, hurry. I want to go to the park!
(Child's name) said as he tugged at his fathers hand.
(Y/n): Alright we're coming.
I said as I shut the door to the house.
Three years later and we are still alive. (Y/n) never did show any signs of any homicidal tendencies but Lucy insisted that it always showed up. However, however, he became aware of her vectors a little later than (Child's name). It actually helped that Lucy was a diclonious. Whenever (Child's name)'s vectors did awaken. Lucy sat down and had a long talk with him about how special his abilities were and how they could be very dangerous. (child's name) was horrified when Lucy got to the part about him accidentally slaughtering us and (Child's name) cried and cried, insisting that he'd never do such a thing. Since his mother was also a diclonious, (Child's name) had someone to relate to and show him guidance in the world, which could be a reason he was calm. Lucy would often say how much he reminded her of Nana, so nice and never hurting anyone else or her own kind unless she protecting herself.
Still (child's name) needed lots of practice with his vectors and was often clumsy using them at 3 years old. In fact he didn't understand the at all. We didn't have to worry about him hurting anyone since he was interest in being a kid than experimenting with a cool power. That's how we ended up taking him to the park. He loved playing and was ready to dart out into the world. I had grabbed him before he got to far out onto the street and placed a hat over his head to hide his growing horns.
Lucy: Remember what I said, leave your hat on at all times.
(Child's name): Yes Mommy.
He said happily.
Lucy and I had then took hold of each of his tiny hands and made out way to the park with (Child's name) carrying his mother's music box in hand. He loved the tune from infancy and seemed to never go anywhere without it.
Nana's P.O.V.
I bent over, panting against my knees as I stopped at the destination that I thought a diclonious was. I looked around for a bit, only to see a park filled with little kids and one lady pushing a child on a swing but no diclonious. In fact, the strong feeling I had, suddenly went away.
Nana: Maybe.....I was wrong.....maybe, it really wasn't her.....
I said to myself. I had then turned around, startled at a sudden voice. I saw my family running towards me. For an instant I thought I heard the sound of a familiar tune coming from a music box, kind of like the song that comes from Koutas music box .....but better.
Yuka: Nana, we've been looking all over for you.
Kouta: Don't just run of like that ok?
Miyu: Yeah, you had us worried.
Miyu said as she held a panting Wanta in her hands.
Nana: I'm sorry....I thought I.....saw something. I was wrong.
Yuka: That's alright. We should head home anyway. I bet, all of you must be starving.
With that said. We all head home as I took one last glance at the park. Little did I know that the lady pushing the child on the swing, looked back in my direction. It was Lucy but as she looked behind her, we had already unknowingly passed each other.
I was honestly thinking about telling Kouta about this experience but decided not too. I knew we all wondered for so long about what happened to Lucy. We figured that her fate was for the worst but in truth, I knew that somewhere in this world, wherever she may be, she was happy. Although we did have our differences, I never could bring myself to hate her. She was part of the family in a way. We both managed to get away and better our lives, she helped me find a place where I belonged and perhaps one day....I can finally tell her..... thank you.
End.....
