After Lucy had changed into the dress I gave her, I turned around to looked her over. The dress still fit perfectly after all this time. Blue and red may not have been the most complimentary colors, in fact the dress reminded me of Alice in wonderland....but Lucy made it work. I didn't want to stare but there was still another problem we faced when going out in public and it was her horns. Lucy already figured this out as well.

I didn't want her to fret so I thought for a minute on what to do.

(Y/n): Oh, I got an idea.

I say as I go into the kitchen and open one of the kitchen counter drawers. I pulled out a pair of orange scissors and went back to Lucy. I stooped down and cut off 2 fairly sizeable ribbons off of the hem of the dress. I untied the knots and brought them up to Lucy's hair and retied them into a perfect bow. Stepping away for a second t admire my work, I looked at her and thought that I did a good job. The bows were big enough to the point you couldn't even tell she had any horns. She looked like a perfectly normal girl. I found myself blushing before turning away in shyness before I suddenly turned my attention to adjusting my tie.

Lucy didn't seem so confident in the bows as she slightly touched them. She doubted them but I saw in her eyes that she would also cherish those red ribbons forever and with that thought, we headed out into town. We didn't get far before I past the house of the three old ladies who where life long friends. Mrs. Riza was the only one out side and although she could not see very clearly, she noticed another person accompanying me and grabbed for her glasses.

Mrs. Riza: (Y/n)? There's someone following you.

She said as she put on her glasses while her hands shook slightly do to her ever increasing weakness because of her old age.

Mrs. Riza: It's a girl? And she's pretty too. You didn't tell me you had a girlfriend (Y/n).

Mrs. Riza said as she stood up from her porch to come tease me.

I wasn't prepared to respond to such a comment and I was all stutter as Mrs. Riza took this as an advantage to talk to Lucy.

Mrs. Riza: It's nice to meet you dear.

Mrs. Riza said as she shook Lucy's name.

(Y/n): Her name is Lucy. She's like my roommate.

Mrs. Riza: Whatever she's totally your girlfriend. She's very beautiful and those bows compliment her eyes very nicely.

Lucy's didn't seem all too enthusiastic about meeting new people. Though if she's going to be around me, we are going to run into Mrs. Riza and the others a lot so eventually she'd get use to them. Still, like any other girl, Lucy appreciated compliments.

(Y/n): I'd hate to keep you away from your morning tea Mrs. Riza, I was going to take Lucy shopping.

Mrs. Riza: Of course, I don't want to keep you but I'll tell the girls you stopped by and that you found yourself a nice girl to be your friend. I'm going to knit both of you matching sweaters now.

She said as she headed back into the house. I waved her goodbye as Lucy and I went on our way. The clothing store wasn't too far from my house. In fact I loved the route to town because it was so scenic and I pointed out things I wanted Lucy to see. She seemed to like observing too. Everyone we passed seem to marvel at us. It did my heart a great deal of happiness to see Lucy be treated so normal. I know it must have been hard for her in the past. She still wasn't use to suddenly fitting in but I did my best to make her feel like she wasn't any different from anyone, even if she had horns or not, that shouldn't change how people view her. Lucy was an interesting person and I as lucky to see her everyday and discover a knew aspect about who she is.

Meanwhile, when we had arrived at a women's clothing store, my confidence dropped when I was around so many females. Besides, this was a clothing store for woman so as guy we didn't like coming in these sort of places for obvious reasons. Though I had to go in with Lucy because the way she was staring at the place told me this was the first time she'd ever been to a store before.

When we did go in, I let Lucy browse the aisle and pick out whatever she wanted and she had an interesting choice of clothing even though a thought in the back of my head told me that Lucy didn't mind wearing anything. I made sure to grab perfume, bath soap and other sorts of feminine stuff that I thought she might like. The shopping was going great until we came to the lingerie section that housed bras, underwear and scandalous nightly attire or just normal women's pajamas. We needed to get some underwear and bras no doubt but I couldn't go in that section. Woman where already staring at me with suspicion. I let Lucy know that I'd wait for her outside as she went in but she was in there for what seemed like billions minutes. She probably didn't know her size or what to get and I'd have to go in there and help her. I held in my breath as I went in, trying not give the women any reason to kick me out of the store and I made sure to avoid the changing area. I did, however, find Lucy in one aisle where she was holding up a pair of underwear up to her face and giving me a look that said, "What  do YOU think I should get?"

I knew my face was red as I stood in the aisle awkwardly.
