Chapter 10 ( Sharing of the past)

Reader's P.O.V.

When I was sick, I skipped the piano lesson that Lucy and I were having on a regular basis so I wanted to make it up to her. We continued her lesson further on for two hours. Lucy really wanted to get better, she had a passion for music that my parents wished I had. She really liked the idea of herself playing music and turning it into little tunes so she made it her duty to learn fast. It was even interesting to see her concentrate really hard and use her vectors to play the piano keys. I found myself unknowingly staring at her as she slowly pushed notes down. Eventually she noticed and looked at me so I quickly turned away.

(Y/n): I didn't mean to stare, I'm just curious.....

Lucy: About me?

(Y/n): You and your species.

Lucy suddenly stopped playing the piano.

(Y/n): You don't have to talk about it if you don't want to.

Lucy: No, it's fine.

And with those 3 words, Lucy told me everything, starting from the very beginning, when she was born, her life leading up to when she was kept in this facility, who this Kurama guy was, Nana, Mariko, Kouta, Yuka, Miyu, the people she killed, the voice in her, how she annihilated a special task force team on the bridge a few weeks ago. Everything. It was a lot to take in and while her life made you wish you no longer had a heart, she had a rougher time than me and to think I thought I had a bad history. I felt bad for Lucy but at the same time had found a newly discovered fascination with her. She was so strong in order to be able to go through all this and still be fine. Something like that would destroy anyone. It was a lot to process so I just sat there in silence, thinking, comprehending. I found myself unconsciously bringing up a rather meaningful question.

(Y/n): Do you still miss Kouta?

Lucy was quiet before responding.

Lucy: It doesn't matter now. His life is better when it doesn't include me. He has Yuka and the others now...and I have you.

I blushed as she continued.

Lucy: I was made to annihilate the human race and replace them with us in 5 years if I really put in the effort. I had gone to the brink of my insanity but then you brought me back and if this world where to only be occupied by diclonious, that would mean I'd have to get rid of you too but I'm not sure if I want to go through with the plan.

(Y/n): Aw you care about me. ( I teased) I'm guessing you would have become a hippy if you haven't met me right? Just cruising around the world and infecting everyone.

Lucy: I would just have stayed in this area. The silpelits would do most of the work.

(Y/n): I get it, it's like a bee hive. Your the queen and they are worker bees but can't you all just have your own children?

Lucy: Silpelits can't reproduce I'm the only diclonious that can.

Hmmm, so they are kind of asexual in a way since most of them are female with a means of reproducing their own uniformed sort of way.

(Y/n): You know Lucy, it means a lot to me that you told me all of this. You trust me and I trust you. It's hard to know what to say. Compared to what you've been through, my life must seem perfectly fine. I'm glad you decided not to kill me that night we met because then I would have died not knowing what you were really about. Your strong, so much stronger than me.

Lucy: Nyu, was always the strong one.....

(Y/n): Who's Nyu?

Lucy: She's me....I guess. She was the one Kouta liked.... a secondary personality. She was what I never was but wished I could be in order to make Kouta love me...but I don't think she's coming back, I don't have any of her memories.

(Y/n): Where is she?

Lucy: Somewhere in my head, maybe if I hit my head hard enough....

(Y/n): D-don't do that. Besides, I like the original you. At least I finally understand why I see a childish, innocent looking you, when I stare at you. She's still inside.

Lucy then gripped her head, as if she knew Nyu was in there somewhere.

(Y/n): Your horns....they don't look so good but I read online that they'll grow back. I'm pretty sure antelope horns count right?

Lucy laughed lightly at my comment.

Lucy: I don't remember if  Kouta and I saw an antelope at the zoo but it was such a fun place.

(Y/n): If you want, we can go together someday.

Lucy: Sure.....
Lucy said as she smiled at me. I looked back at the piano and reached for the book of sheet music in front of us before turning a page.

(Y/n): You know your almost done with your lesson. We're almost ready for the fun part. We should take a break.

Lucy nodded at me before we both stood up and went downstairs where I prepared us a snack in the kitchen. We ate in my room as I put on a movie to enjoy while we ate. The time went by peaceful and just as the movie ended, Lucy inched closer to me. I didn't notice at first until I was practically being cooked by her body heat that caused my temperature to rise.

(Y/n): L-Lucy.....

I say nervously. Lucy then inched towards while on her knees, moving in between me. Clearly Lucy didn't know that what she was doing was very...enticing. I don't know why but I picture Nyu to be doing such a thing..... I was unsure if I should touch her or not but seeing how close our faces were, I did have the strong urge to kiss her. For once in my life, I decided to just go for it and not to hold back. I slowly hesitated and slowly captured Lucy's lips with mine. The kiss instantly filled my body with a strong, tingling sensation. I found that I needed more of her, that I wanted to be closer to her than anything. In a way I was the only person who could understand her. I didn't want her to have to suffer, she could just stay here with me so I could give her all the happiness she was entitled to. I love Lucy, I really did and I wanted her to know. I wanted her to know that she wasn't alone. We had each other and in all the time she's been here with me, I just want to cherish that. We can make our own memories.

Our kiss broke seconds later but I gave her a short lustful look before diving back into her. She gasped for an instant before I gripped her wrists and gradually lay her on the floor, our heavy breathing being drowned by the sound of the TV....
