Riley's POV

After a couple days, everyone close to us knew what happened. I was finally feeling better again, James was right. But that wasn't a surprise. Like I said, he's always right. We were getting closer to Internationals, it's less than a month away. I'm terrified. Just because I want to do good, and I'm scared of messing up. But that's normal, everyone feels it. "Riley!" I heard Emily call from downstairs, and I dragged myself from my bed. It was Saturday, and rehearsal doesn't start until 2 on Saturdays, so I was trying to sleep in a little. Apparently Emily doesn't want me to. I made my way into the kitchen, to see the entire room filled with daffodils. Like every single inch, even the floor. I had to push flowers out of the way with my foot to walk over to where Emily was, in the doorway to the living room.
"What's all this?" I asked confused.
"Read the card." She said, pointing to where a card sat on the counter, in the middle of the mess of flowers. I picked it up, reading the familiar writing.
Riles,
Happy birthday baby girl! I love you! I'll give you your present at rehearsal today, but this is just a small part of it. Hope it's not too much!
James
Ps, I knew daffodils were your favourite
I smiled, looking at the mess. Yes, I have to get rid of over half of it, I can't possibly deal with this many flowers, but it was sweet. "I hate your boyfriend." Emily said, causing me to roll my eyes. "I guess we're going out for breakfast, seeing as I can't make it to the pantry." She added, and I nodded.
"Good idea." I said.

"Happy birthday Riley!" Michelle said excitedly as she grabbed my shoulders from behind.
"Thanks." I smiled at her. We started to walk towards studio A together, talking.
"Has James given you your present?" She asked.
"Partly. I woke up this morning to a kitchen full of daffodils." I told her. She sighed.
"Aw! They're your favourite!" She said happily. We entered the studio and walked to the cubbies, putting our stuff away. I felt arms wrap around my waist, and turned my head to see James smiling at me.
"Hey beautiful." He said, placing a kiss on my cheek.
"Hi." I said smiling.
"You're in a good mood today. You're all smiley Riley." He chuckled. I giggled slightly, turning in his arms.
"Am I not always smiley Riley?" I asked, pretending to be offended.
"No, unfortunately. I like smiley Riley the best." He told me. I smiled again. I love him. "I want to take you out tonight." He said. "Anywhere you want. Be ready for 8."
"Alright." I replied. "What were you doing this morning? I couldn't reach you to thank you for the flowers." I said, changing the subject.
"I was busy. And the flowers, don't even worry about it." He chuckled. I rolled my eyes. "I love you baby." He told me.
"I love you too." I responded, leaning in for a kiss. We pulled away, and walked over to the dance floor to warm up, talking as we did so, before beginning 4 hours of rehearsal.
