Just wanted to tell you guys I've posted a new book called The Little Secret. Please check it out, thanks! Enjoy!
xxRiley's POV
Miss Kate walked back from the registration desk, room keys in hand. "Okay, I'll tell you the rooms, and then state the rules." She announced. "The first room we have all the boys, guys your room has a pullout couch, don't worry, next is Cierra, Thalia, and Amanda, and the last room is Riley, Michelle, Giselle, and Stephanie." Kate continued. "Rules, no alcohol, no noise past 11, no stunts." She said, looking towards the boys as if she knew they'd do something stupid. "No pranks, if you break something you're paying for it, no disrupting the other guests, be on time for whatever we're doing, whether it be going out to eat or heading to the competition.." I droned Miss Kate out after a while as she recited a million rules, until finally, she reached the last one. "And absolutely no boys in girls rooms, and no girls in boys rooms." She stated firmly, her eyes finding me and James. "Now you can head up to your rooms." She added, and everyone grabbed their bags, heading to the elevator. Once we had gotten to our rooms and unpacked, the girls decided they wanted to go to the pool. I was sitting on the bed, texting, when Michelle walked out of the bathroom in her bikini, looking at me oddly.
"Ri, aren't you coming to the pool with us?" She asked, as she looked over the jean shorts and tank top I was currently wearing.
"No. I don't feel like it." I responded. The truth was, I felt really bloated and didn't feel I'd be comfortable walking around in a bikini. But I didn't want to tell Michelle that.
"Are you sure? All of A troupes going to the pool." She protested, obviously wanting me to go with them.
"Yeah I'm sure. You guys have fun." I told her. She nodded, giving up on arguing with me, and grabbed a towel, leaving the room to meet everyone else at the pool.Michelle's POV
"Hey where's Riley?" Stephanie asked, looking up from her magazine. Her and the other girls were currently sat on loungers by the pool in their bikinis, tanning or reading or just chatting.
"She didn't want to come." I shrugged, putting my towel on the empty lounger next to them.
"Is she afraid of swimming?" Cierra asked, pausing her conversation with Thalia.
"No, in the summer we go to the beach all the time. It's some other reason." I replied.
"Does she know James is here?" Amanda asked, glancing at James before back to me.
"Yeah, she just didn't want to come." I said.
"Weird." Giselle mumbled, before looking back to her phone. I relaxed into the lounger, pulling my sunglasses to cover my eyes, before closing them.
"Guys where's Riley?" A familiar voice asked, causing me to sigh, opening my eyes and lifting my sunglasses, placing them on top of my head.
"The room. She didn't want to come." I explained yet again.
"Is she okay?" James asked worriedly.
"Why don't you go ask her?" I told him, trying my best to not snap at him. I just want to relax and tan and everyone's driving me nuts. James nodded, and grabbed his shirt, before heading upstairs.James's POV
"Babe, you alright?" I called through the door to Riley. There was no reply, but a minute later the door swung open.
"I'm fine. Just didn't want to swim." She said simply. I nodded, before smirking.
"You know, you need to make it up to me for refusing to make out earlier." I told her, referring to when we were on the plane. Riley smiled slightly.
"If I have to." She joked, pulling me in and shutting the door.
