Richelle's POV

"I wish you were here though." I told Noah through the phone. I was waiting at the doctors office for my appointment to begin, and was bored. I was by myself, my parents had kicked me out of the house after I told them I was pregnant, and although Miss Kate, being the amazing person she was and practically my second mother, let me and Noah live with her, she was currently busy. Normally Noah would come with me to see the doctor, but he was in Miami for Internationals. I heard Noah chuckle through the phone.
"Babe, you'll be fine by yourself. And I'll be back in a week, I won't miss anything, just boring questions." He said. I sighed.
"I guess you're right." I mumbled.
"Richelle Beckett." I heard a woman call.
"I have to go, I was just called in." I told Noah.
"Alright. Bye, talk to you later." He replied, before I hung up.

Riley's POV

I desperately searched my bag for the bottle of aspirin I knew I had packed. Today was female and male solos. Eldon had already performed, and I was on in half an hour, but I wasn't at all prepared. I hadn't stretched or warmed up yet, let alone even marked my choreo. I couldn't bring myself to. I had a splitting headache. I knew I was running low on painkillers, so I had attempted to stay away, but it got too far. I couldn't. I needed something. Now. Finally, after a few minutes of frantic searching, I found the bottle of pills. Hastily, I twisted the cap, opening the bottle as fast as possible. I turned it upside down, attempting to get 2 pills. But nothing. I looked inside, seeing the bottle completely empty. I groaned, but even my quiet noise was too much for my head, and I found myself grasping my temple in pain. Now what? How am I supposed to dance on a stage with blasting music if I can't even handle my own small noise? I heard the hotel room door click open, and looked up, despite the serge of pain, seeing Giselle. "Ri, why aren't you ready? We have to leave soon." She told me. I nodded, twisting the aspirin cap back on and literally throwing it back in my bag. Giselle shot me an odd look, glancing at the pill bottle. "Are you okay?" She asked, concerned.
"Yeah. I just have a splitting headache and no painkillers!" I replied. Maybe it was slightly too harsh.
"Okay, calm down." Giselle responded, instantly making me feel guilty.
"Sorry." I sighed.
"Why don't we talk to Kate, you can rest, and we'll find someone else to do the solo." She suggested, but I shook my head.
"No, it's too late. I go on in under half an hour, there's no way anyone could have a solo ready in that amount of time, and how will we get a costume, or any props needed. It's too late." I told her.
"Riley, I have a solo, we can use it. It won't need anything extra, and if I just wear a black leotard and dance shorts it would look fine, especially with the topic of the dance. And you can stay here, where it's silent, and rest." She explained. "Besides, it's a non-elimination round. It doesn't matter if we win." I sighed, not entirely sure about her plan, but nodded.
"Okay, I guess we'll do that." I said, causing her to smile. Let's hope this doesn't mess anything up for us.
