I made my way to lunch, which was the last thing on the agenda. Today we started on Friday and had a half day...thank god! I looked around and saw Claudia ushering me to come sit with her. I didn't know where everybody else was but I made my way over. "Hey Claud where is everyone"? "Oh, they got stuck in study hall because they mouthed off to the teacher for giving them homework on the first day. I mean I don't blame them but they should've kept their mouths shut," she said looking at her tray. "Even James," I said in shock. "Hah, you can't be serious of course not James. He had to go pick his brother up from the airport, so he left early" she said in relief. "I should've know James would never take part in that haha. Anyways I gotta tell you something" I said a little scared. Claudia was my ultimate best friend. I've been best friends with her since 6th grade and we couldn't be separated since. Claudia stared at me in awe, "So basically I met a guy. His name is Ethan...Ethan Lloyd. His locker is next to mine and he is new around here, well to school, not Virginia. I showed him around and he even called me beautiful." Claudia grabbed my hands and got all excited. I couldn't help but get excited with her. After I told her all the details I heard a familiar voice call my name. It was Ethan and I couldn't stop the butterflies from building up in my stomach. "I'll leave you two love bugs alone and I'll text you soon," Claudia says with a huge smile. "See you later Claud," I said turning my head to Ethan. He came and sat down next to me and pulled out a paper bag. "Well your just full of surprises. I didn't know a guy like you was cool enough to bring his own lunch" I said laughing under my breath. "Well Claire, I may look like I'm that big jock but I do have a hobby and that hobby is cooking." He said with blushed cheeks. I could tell he was little embarrassed but still proud. "Ethan Lloyd I am most definitely impressed," I said with a smile. We chatted for what felt like hours and laughed and just really got to know each other. "So Claire I was thinking I'm gonna have to get your number if I'm gonna take you on a date tomorrow at Lulu's." He said with a cute smirk. I couldn't believe what came out of his mouth. Was this a little rushed? I mean it's only a date it's not like he's asking me to marry him or anything. Besides what's one night gonna do? "Well I'm gonna have to think about that," I said laughing. He looked at me with his soft brown eyes and smiled. We kind of just looked at each other and smiled before I took his phone and started typing my number. "I'll pick you up around 7:30," he said proudly. "That would be great, if you knew where I lived," I said laughing. He looked kind of embarrassed and started to blush. I felt bad and told him my address soon after. "Well I better get home I'll see you tomorrow night. I hope you don't mind dressing up fancy and don't be late" he said with a huge smile. "I'll try my best. See you tomorrow Ethan" I got up and walked out with the biggest smile.
