You could say I am an adult now...somewhat right? I live in a house with my fiancé and have a substantial job as a sales agent for google. I mean who would have thought that I would end up here but I got myself into this life. This perfect, cozy and everything I wanted life. Then, of course, I somehow have to put a knife in it, the very perfect life and drag it through everything. Stab it about 15 times then jump off a bridge. Okay not literally but that was the equivalent of me inviting ETHAN to my wedding. Putting the emphasis on Ethan showing up at my wedding in that thought. I sat in the cafe and looked at him because I realized what I had just done. I know what you all are thinking, I mean I am thinking it too like literally Claire you are an idiot. I used to be in love with this guy sitting across the table and I just invited him to the wedding. Not just any wedding though but a wedding with the man I cheated on him with. My wedding night will definitely be one for the books am I right? Okay, my thoughts are rambling on and whoever I am talking to probably doesn't care but that needed to be said. Anyways back to this extremely awkward and stupid conversation with my ex. "Oh, so you will definitely come...you don't have to consider the circumstances and all. I did hurt you and am sorry for that but I don't expect you to show up." I said "Claire, there was once a time when I thought your wedding day would be with me. That time has passed but it doesn't mean I won't support you. You mean a lot to me and you always will so do expect me there." he said and just like that nodded his head and walked out. I honestly had no idea where he was going, why he just left, where he lives, if he really would come etc. I did know he sounded very sincere. I could always expect the best from Ethan and although his recent actions have proved differently I know I can trust him and put my faith in him. Now I have to figure out how to tell Jake that the guy who beat the literal crap is now coming to our wedding. The happiest day of our lives is about to get a whole lot...let's just say interesting.

I walked in the door and Jake was sitting at his desk looking really happy and eager to tell me something. Obviously, I couldn't tell him and ruin the happiness. "Claire I am so glad your home we need to talk about our future," he said eagerly. "When were you going to tell me. I mean obviously you wanted to keep it a surprise and tell me soon but like did you have an elaborate plan. he said still very excited. I was so confused and honestly a little nervous. "I have no idea what you are talking about. Tell you what?" I said confused. "Come on you don't have to hide it anymore it's good news, a little early but still good...the pregnancy Claire. You're pregnant!!" he said in confusion. My jaw instantly dropped and couldn't help but yell out "What? Who told you that...I am not pregnant." I said yelling. "I got the doctors letter in the mail today stating that the pregnancy came back positive." All I could think of were the results from peeing in a cup but they already told us that it was just a scare. "No, they said it was a scare and tests came back negative. Let me look at the documents." I said worriedly Jake gave me the sheets and a huge weight lifted off my shoulder. He was reading the precautions and explanations and not the actual test results. I was so relieved that the actual written test results in the back said negative and he got too caught up in the moment. "Babe the test results are at the back and it says negative. We are not pregnant thank god." I said excitedly A disappointed expression came across his face and I instantly felt bad. "You wouldn't care about the baby? Are you not wanting to have one with me or do you just not care that we almost had a family?" he said eery. "Jake I didn't mean it like that I am just not ready for that at all." and it honestly just came out and I couldn't stop myself. "Oh, and I saw Ethan and kind of invited him to the wedding," I said in awe realizing what just came out. "You invited Ethan to our wedding? Honestly, he probably won't show up knowing him but I swear Claire you need to talk to me." he gave me a kiss on the cheek and walked upstairs. I just dodged a major bullet and am still trying to figure out how.
