I was waiting for about five minutes before Phil came hurrying back down the stairs. I'd honestly started to wonder if he was going to come back at all. "Oh good, you're still here _____!" Phil said with a smile, though he looked to be alone. "I couldn't get Dan to come. He says he's too busy playing Guitar Hero."

A small laugh escaped me as I quickly covered my mouth. "S-sorry..." I said sheepishly as Phil grinned, having finally gotten a reaction other than discomfort or embarrassment from me. "Th-that just reminded me of a Daniel I knew when I was younger..."

Phil laughed, shrugging his shoulder as he began leading me down the stairs. "Who knows, maybe we know the same Dan and fate has brought you back together!"

I let out a laugh. "Please, that sounds like the plot to bad romance novel..."

Phil shrugged again, looking back at me with a grin. "You'll never know until you meet Dan!"

"I suppose not..." I mumbled as I shivered a bit from the cool air hitting me.

It was a lot colder her than it had been in California around this time of year. I would've just been trading in my shorts for a pair of jeans at this point but now I was even wearing a hoodie. It had taken a while to get used to when my family had first moved there but I'd grown to like it enough. I'd have to acclimate all over again.

"Here we are!" Phil suddenly said, causing me to stop in my tracks and look around.

I saw a little café sitting in front of us. I looked at it wearily, finding its appearance to be a bit... unfavorable. I looked at Phil with apprehension as he smiled back. "Okay, I know it looks like a bit of a dive but trust me! They make the best coffee here! I promise!"

"O-okay..." I said, following the tall man who spoke so highly of this place's coffee.

"I'll order while you get us a table. What would you like?"

"Y-you don't have to order for me..."

"I said I would though! For walking into your door, remember! And it's no trouble, really! What would you like?"

I blushed and quietly told Phil to get whatever he thought was good. He smiled and nodded, leaving me to find a table. As I was looking around I noticed a couple of girls looking back and forth between Phil and I, whispering and giggling amongst their selves. I looked at my feet and quickly shuffled to a table in a back corner of the café.

Phil soon joined and handed me a cup of what looked to be hot chocolate that was beautifully decorated. "I didn't know how you'd like your coffee but I figured hot chocolate is usually pretty safe. And its pumpkin spice too! So you know... it's festive!"

"Tis the season," I said, starting to feel a little bit comfortable around Phil.

Phil nodded with a grin as I took a small sip. "Well? What do you think?" he asked, looking sure of himself.

"Well... I dunno how to put this but..." I said, seeing his expression turning more anxious. "I love it."

Phil grinned. "I knew it! Nobody can dislike a pumpkin spice hot chocolate!" he said proudly, as though he'd made the drink himself.

It was then that one of the girls that had been staring earlier walked up to our table, a nervous but excited look on her face. "Hey- um... you're Phil right?"

Phil gave her a kind smile and nodded. "Yep, that'd be me!"

"Oh my gosh!" the girl said excitedly as she pulled out her phone. "I love yours and Dan's videos! Would you be willing to take a picture with me?"

"I'm glad to hear you like our videos! Of course!" Phil said, looking enthusiastic and happy to please this girl who was claiming to so enjoy the video he and his roommate apparently made.

"Thank you so much!" the girl exclaimed before turning towards me. "Would you be willing to take the picture?"

"O-oh... u-uh um... sure!" I said, fumbling with the phone that was now in my hands.

I quickly took the picture and handed the phone back to the girl with the best smile I could manage. "Thank you so much! And I'll always ship Phan but you two are really cute together too!" the girl said happily.

I looked in confusion before feeling my face heat up while Phil held back a laugh. "Th-thank you, but we're not dating," Phil said, a small chuckle slipping out.

"Oh, you're not? Well great, then the Phan ship sails on!" the girl laughed before turning and hurrying back to her group of friends who were all staring as though she'd done the bravest and coolest thing ever.

Phil laughed slightly before turning and looking at me. "You okay there, ______?" he asked with a bemused smile.

I quickly nodded before focusing my attention back on the hot chocolate. The rest of the time at the café went by less awkwardly and by the time we left I was feeling a bit more at ease with Phil again. We walked back to the apartment complex and went inside, Phil stopping to say goodbye when we'd reached my door. "Thanks for coming out with me, ______. It was fun!"

"Y-yea, it was!"

"Well... I guess I'll see you later then, us being neighbors and all!"

I smiled and nodded before suddenly realizing there was something I had to ask before Phil took off. "Um yea... I was just wondering though... about that girl from earlier," I said, Phil nodding sheepishly. "What was she talking about when she said she liked yours and Dan's videos."

"O-oh... my roommate and I make videos on this website, YouTube, and we've gained a bit of a following over the years."

"Oh, really? That's neat! What's your YouTube name?"

"Amazingphil."

I thought for a moment before it dawned on me. "Oh man! I don't if you know this, but you have some fans in the states too! This girl I knew in high school talked nonstop about your videos!"

"You don't say," Phil laughed.

"Definitely, she'd always talk about, 'Dan and Phil this! Dan and Phil that!' I'm sure she'd freak out if she knew about today!"

Phil nodded, looking like he was having a hard time keeping his composure. He turned and waved goodbye. "W-well, I'll see you later, _____."

"O-okay..." I said, confused to why he seemed to think all of this was so funny.

A/N: My puns are honestly the worst, I know. Honestly though? There's so many well known YouTubers that I have no idea about and could easily just randomly meet and have no idea if nobody told me. I actually saw something along those lines happen to someone a few weeks ago when I went to a film festival and someone didn't recognize one of the main guests. It was so funny to see his reaction when we explained who it was after the guest left.
