Preemptive A/N: I couldn't think of a better pun and I am disappointed in myself for this :(

I woke up the next morning and just laid in bed for a while, thinking about what I might do for the day. I still had a few days to get settled before I actually started my job.

My dad had gotten me the job, what with all of his connections from before we'd moved. I'd be working as an assistant to one of his old colleagues at the BBC Radio 1 station. From what dad had told me, I'd probably start off doing all of the things an intern would usually be doing while the colleague would gradually teach me different things so I could take on more and more responsibilities, while putting my degree in digital communications to use.

I was looking forward to getting into a routine but I was still grateful for the time off as well. It gave me time to explore the area as well as prepare myself for having to interact with numerous people on a daily basis again. The latter was definitely the more important of the two.

I sat up with sigh, figuring I should probably get dressed so I could go familiarize myself with the area and buy groceries. My fridge was pitifully empty, stocked only with a little bit of leftover pizza from when Mum and I been unpacking and some soda. It was about time to add some healthier things as well.

I got dressed, looking at my phone when I was done. My eyes widened as I saw the amount Facebook notifications. Most of them were messages from old friends from school, all talking about some photo that seemed to have me in it. Apparently it was all over various social medias.

I furrowed my brows in confusion, trying to figure out what on earth they might have been talking about. I hadn't posted any photos recently and none of them would've gone viral for any reasons. The only photo I'd even taken recently was of Phil and the girl that had approached us.

My eyes widened as I quickly went to my laptop and opened it, hurrying over to Facebook and clicking on one of the many links I'd been provided. My suspicions were confirmed when I saw that it was a photo of Phil and I in the café, captioned "does anyone know who this girl with @amazingphil is and if they're together??".

One of the girls must've taken it. I inwardly groaned, seeing that it already had over 10,000 retweets. I noticed that a few people I knew had replied, tagging me so I could see. This had also led to bunch of people directly messaging me in an attempt to find out if it was indeed me and if Phil and I were a thing. It was like a rumor spreading in high school... just on a much more global scale.

I closed out Twitter and looked back to my Facebook, thankful that the only people messaging me about it there were my friends. I looked at my phone as it went off, alerting me of a message request on Facebook. I looked and my heart skipped a beat as I saw that it was from Daniel. I hadn't talked to him in years... and now he'd messaged me.

 and now he'd messaged me

I quickly began typing my reply, feeling nervous. This was the first thing I'd said to him as his new neighbor. But it was also the first thing I'd said to him after years of not talking.

I felt a smile forming as I thought about hanging out with Daniel. It'd been so long though...what if he'd changed to the point we didn't get along anymore? I'd changed as little bit since we'd last talked... I gained new interests and hobbies, but for the most part I was still awkward old me. He was an internet star with more than 6 million people following him. And he probably had loads of new friends as well. What if I wasn't good enough for him now?

I shook off my concerns though, figuring I couldn't really avoid him all that well, what with being neighbors now. I took a deep breath, trying to get control over my nerves.

I smiled as I shut my laptop, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness for the day. From what little we talked, he seemed like the same Daniel I remembered from my childhood and that was slightly comforting to me.

A/N: Honestly, the fake message maker I found makes this both more fun but more frustrating at the same time. I actually have to put forth effort since the files the website gives me aren't compatible with Wattpad. So I have to copy and past into paint and all that jazz. But I feel like it's worth it :) What do you guys think?
