Preemptive A/N: KJFRNJVRKJRKJR I just watched Death Parade and I wasn't expecting that feels trip! So much respect and love for that ending <3 But um... anyway... hope you enjoy this chapter!
I took a deep breath, feeling a bit nervous as my mouse hovered over the open button for the file of the video Phil and I had made. All I had to do was click on it and it would start uploading to YouTube. But clicking on it mean there was no going back. I knew from all the times I'd been told as a kid that once something was on the internet, it was there forever. I could always unlist or make the video private if I got embarrassed by it... but that would defeat the meaning behind making the video. And not uploading it in the first place would mean I'd wasted not only my time but Phil's and all his friends that had helped with the project. I had to upload it.
I quickly gave YouTube the okay to upload it before I could change my mind, wrote a title and description for the video, and set my laptop on the coffee table next to the gifts I'd already wrapped for Dan and Phil. Once the video was finished uploading I messaged Phil a link to it like I'd promised, closed my laptop, changed into my pajamas, and crawled into bed. All that was left to do now was wait until tomorrow morning.
------Time Skip!------
I groaned, trying to bury myself deeper in my blanket as some gently shook me. "C'mon love, it's time to get up."
I mumbled tiredly and shook my head, wanting nothing more than to sleep a bit longer. How had Dan even gotten into my flat? I'd locked the door before I'd gone to bed... oh right. I'd given him the spare key in case I lost mine or some sort of emergency came up. But this was neither of those scenarios, this was just him disturbing my sleep. And I couldn't think of any good reason why he'd be doing that.
"You have to get up, _____," Dan laughed, sitting down on the bed and trying to pull the blanket away from me. "Phil will kill me if I come back up without you and tell him he has to wait longer. I've never seen him so excited for Christmas morning... he must have something big planned."
"Nooo," I mumbled as I gripped the blanket tighter, not fully comprehending half of what Dan had said. "Just lemme sleep..."
Dan let out a slight sigh and quickly lifted me, blanket still snuggly wrapped around me, into his arm, standing up and carrying my bridal style. I didn't really care too much though, I was still half asleep and adapted by snuggling against him. "Phil just said I had to bring you upstairs," he said, carrying me out of the bedroom. "He didn't say how awake you had to be."
Soon I was being set on a couch as Dan called out for Phil. Phil ran into the room as I snuggled into the couch. "MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Phil shouted excitedly.
"Mmmm," I grumbled, wanting to sleep.
"What!? Dan! She's still asleep!" Phil exclaimed.
"Yea," Dan said, sitting down by my feet. "She didn't want to wake up and I, being the kind boyfriend I am, tried to respect that while also trying to do what you wanted."
"Would you wake up if I make you some coffee, _____?" Phil asked.
"Fiiiiiine," I said, sitting up tiredly as I tried to come to terms with the fact I wasn't going to get to sleep.
Phil grinned and hurried off to the kitchen while I sleepily rubbed my eye. I looked at Dan as he smiled, scooted closer, and lightly ruffled my bed head. "Uhg, stop..." I said, knowing I probably looked awful as it was. "What time even is it?"
"It's about six in the morning," Dan said, yawing slightly.
"Why do we have to be up this early!?" I asked. "It's unnatural..."
