As important as a lucky charm was to her, it didn't sound as appealing anymore when she got worn out. The problem was that they had traveled the city, and visited every toy store and merchandise store for nothing, since none of them sold one like her old keychain.

The city was painted in dusk blue as the sun was about to set. If it wasn't for Yiseul reminding Wonwoo that they had a chemistry exam tomorrow, then this trip would be an endless tonight. It was funny how Wonwoo looked much more eager than he was in PE class that it made her lips curved into a small smile.

"Ah, it's such a pity that we couldn't find the exact same keychain like yours," he said and Yiseul quickly changed her expression, aware of being caught off guard.

She nodded, thinking of something proper to say. Last time she opened her mouth, Wonwoo became as stiff as stone. "It's okay, we can try another day."

To be frank, Yiseul was thinking of reasons to come up with just in case Wonwoo would ask her to try on another day. As upset as she was, it would feel even burdening to accept a gift from the mistake he didn't commit. Unfortunately, Wonwoo had already agreed on it before she could take it back. She didn't even know why he was so determined in getting her a new keychain. It didn't make sense, but she guessed they were both in a burdened state toward each other.

"But wouldn't it save us some times if we go straight to the place I first got it from?" she suggested, referring to the place which words he seemed to avoid; amusement park. After all the conversations she had with him, she had concluded that he became tense whenever she brought it up.

Yiseul nervously took a glance at him only to be caught. He gave her a smile instead of a verbal reply, which she interpreted as a way of softly saying no. Whatever the reason was, he seemed pretty serious about avoiding

"Hyungsuk-ah," Yiseul called at her brother who was focused on his coloring book she got him for his birthday. The two of them were quite in a good term that she decided to ask an opinion on something of a ten year old.

The black haired boy only hummed as a response, but she knew well that it was a sign that he was open to conversations. Otherwise, he would stay mute if he was too into coloring some drawings there. "Why do you think people are afraid of amusement park?"

After holding it for too long, she finally decided to ask about that thing and being a smarty she was, Hyungsuk was the first person that came across her mind to ask opinions on. She had come to the conclusion that Wonwoo had something against amusement park since he was always being alarmed whenever she brought it up. They were apparently on a break to find a new keychain for her since it was exam week, but Wonwoo had been asking where they should go next. Whenever she said amusement park, though, he automatically shrank. He seemed to beat around the bush about it, making her both curious and tired already.

"There are people like that?" he screeched in disbelief, putting down his coloring pencil for a second, his slanted eyes squinted and his nose scrunched as he thought of an answer. The thing she liked about his answer was that it would either be nonsense or philosophical, and whichever he blurted out, she would always like it. "The only thing you can get scared of from an amusement park is either clowns or the rides."

Yiseul sighed. Her assumption was exactly the same, though it sounded too ridiculous if he was scared of the rides. Most people are scared of them, but that didn't stop them from coming to amusement parks, though. Instead of avoiding the place, he could've just avoided to get on the rides. Just when she thought it was that simple, Hyungsuk continued his speech, "But you'll never know how big the scars those little things left them."

At this rate, she was dumbfounded. She just had another epiphany and decided to change her point of view. There had to be a strong reason why he had cold sweats when amusement park was brought up. It was impossible if he was just scared of the rides, he wouldn't be that much of a coward.

Yiseul immediately stood up when the bell rang, indicating that it was lunch break. With a speed of light, she took the lunchbox out of her bag which made Daeun furrow her eyebrows.

"Where are you going?" the long haired girl asked curiously. Daeun was the type who loved snacking, she wouldn't even bother to go to the cafeteria unless Yiseul asked.

"Library," she said impulsively which made no sense at all since she was bringing her lunchbox. Daeun was about to protest that she couldn't have lunch in the library when Yiseul asked, "You're coming?"

"Ya, are you crazy? You're not supposed—"

Yiseul rushed out of the class, ignoring Daeun's chattering and Wonwoo, who had been giving her side glances since this morning, which was the reason why she acted weirdly in the first place.

The exam week had just ended and that could only mean one thing. Being the kind-hearted guy he was, Wonwoo had been asking her if they could start their hunt to find another lucky charm for her. The thing was, Yiseul was burdened to keep him worrying about something he didn't need to and she had no idea how to tell him, because he would still insist although she told him that he didn't have to bother buying a lucky charm for her. Thus, she chose to be a little distant which caused him being quite hesitant to show up nowhere near her. She didn't mean to cause any harm though—and it wasn't like avoiding him would actually work since they were in the same class—but she just didn't know how to not accept his offer.

The hallway she was standing in was much quieter than her class before. There weren't any people there and she was surprised that she was heading to the basketball court outside—a place she barely stepped her feet on.

She was about to walk outside when someone surprised her as he leaped out of nowhere in front of her, making her almost falling backward.

"Ya!!!" she let out a shriek.

The person in front of her broke into laughter. His eyes were squeezed shut as he grinned widely, showing a perfect row of his cute teeth. A while after she calmed herself down, Yiseul was wondering as to why a wild Soonyoung suddenly made an appearance in the quiet hallway, but then she remembered. "You skipped math!"

Soonyoung, who was still grinning about God knew what, put his finger against his lips. "Don't be too dramatic now. Ya, Kang Yiseul, Let's go somewhere peaceful and talk about what's going on between you and Wonwoo."

Yiseul could feel her cheeks heated for no apparent reason. It was true that what he said was embarrassing, but being flustered would only make it worse. She thought about threatening him when an idea came across her mind. She could actually turn this situation into something else.

"Yeah, actually there's something I wanna talk to you about Wonwoo," she said, Soonyoung's eyes widened in excitement as she mentally clutched her heart. In an almost inaudible voice, she said, "Can you tell me about Wonwoo and amusement park? He seems bothered whenever I bring that up."

This time, his eyes widened in pure shock as he forcefully blocked his mouth with both hands. He was about to turn around when Yiseul grabbed his outerwear. There was a 99.9% chance that she appeared as someone inquisitive, but the die was cast. Besides, it wasn't like she was gonna force him to tell her anyways. She could just need one try to find out why and if she could help.

"Maybe I would be no help, but I know someone who might help him with whatever he's facing."
