~
You had finally saved enough money from working at your job that you could fly out to Naples, Southern Italy.
You have wanted to go to Italy for as long as you could remember. And now, you finally can.
You booked a flight and a hotel immediately, wanting to go as quickly as possible, and your flight was tomorrow.
You tried to sleep, but you were so excited you just stayed up all night on wattpad and packing.
XD
Your flight was at six, so you got up at four and started getting ready by showering, getting dressed and doing your hair, etc.
You drove to the airport and boarded your flight. You were directed to a seat by the nice American flight attendant. You sat next to a sweet Italian man named Feliciano.
You two talked to each other the entire time, talking about your life and he talked about his life and Italy and about his friends Ludwig and Kiku.
You told him about your friends, and all of your stories.
You didn't realize the flight was over, and neither did Feliciano.
"Ciao (Y/N)!!" He called, waving goodbye to you.
You waved back excitedly, glad to be in Italy. You hitched a ride from a cab, and the driver didn't charge you since he was being nice, and you had no money that could be used here.
You went to a bank and traded your American dollars for Euros and Lire.
You checked into your hotel then unpacked everything.
You left the hotel with a skip in your step, and as you walked down a street that held several small cafés and shops. People would nod to you and say hello.
"Wow, these people are so nice!" You smiled to yourself.
But you spoke too soon.
A tan Italian man who had a curl like Feliciano's wasn't paying attention and ran into you, with a large armful of tomatoes, which were squished between the two of you.
"Oi!!" He exclaimed, stumbling back and looking at the mess he made. He then stomped his foot on the ground in anger. "CHIGI!!" He yelled.
You were frozen, your pretty shirt was now ruined.
"Che diavolo?!!!" He looked up at you.
"Stupido cane! Che era colpa tua!!!" He yelled, pointing to the ground.
You stood there, looking at his face. He was quite handsome, but really upset.
"Uhh.." You said. "I'm really sorry.."
You spoke no Italian, so you had no clue to whether or not he understood anything you had said.
He sighed, scratching the back of his head. "I guess I take some blame in this too.."
You had absolutely no idea how out of character this was for him, but he ruined a pretty girls' outfit, and he really did feel bad about it.
You sighed, smiling a little. "It's fine, my name is (Y/N). I'll buy you some new tomatoes."
You smiled at him.
"I'm Lovino. It's okay, I'll get new ones." He turned to leave, but you grabbed his hand.
"No, I insist." You tugged him to a vegetable stand, while a dark blush spread across his face.
You bought him two dozen fresh tomatoes with your new Italian money, them offered to help carry them. The look on the man who worked at the stands face was priceless.
He thought there was blood all over you two, but was being polite and not asking about it since you both were acting fine.
You and Romano both laughed as you left with the new tomatoes.
"What do you need these for anyways?" You asked as you followed Lovino to where he was taking the tomatoes, a café.
"My brother needs them for the food he makes at our restaurant." Lovino answered.
You looked at his face. He had a stern yet calm expression, looking straight forward. Then he saw you and looked at you with his amber eyes.
"What?" He asked.
"Nothing..." You blushed and looked away from his face.
Lovino smirked.
"Your brothers name wouldn't happen to be Feliciano, would it?" You asked.
Lovino looked at you as you both walked into the café.
"Sì, do you know him?"
You nodded, smiling. "Yeah, we sat next to each other flying here. He was really sweet."
Lovino nodded, keeping a stern face as a new feeling crept into his heart.
Jealousy.
He motioned for you to come behind the counter, where you were greeted by a nice Spanish man named Antonio.
You said hello to him and carried your armful of tomatoes to the kitchen in the back, where Feliciano was standing over a sink, washing red bell peppers and jalapeños.
The kitchen smelled of spices and cooking pizza and pasta.
"Hi Feli!" You exclaimed, setting your tomatoes on the counter next to Lovinos.
"(Y/N)!" He exclaimed, smiling and giving you a hug.
You hugged him back happily, while Lovino watched from the other side of the kitchen.
"Is somebody jealous, Romano?" Antonio teased, noticing Lovinos' expression as he kneaded flour.
"Bastardo!" Lovino snapped at Antonio, walking over towards his brother, who was helping you rinse the tomatoes.
He pulled Feli aside.
"Look," he muttered lowly, "(Y/N) is mine, not yours, okay?"
Feliciano smiled and laughed. "You-a like her already, brother. Alright, bella is-a yours."
Lovino nodded, walking away towards you.
He cleared his throat as he stood behind you, and naturally, you turned to face him.
"Hey Lovi, I'd like to work here-"
He pulled you forward and kissed you, deeply and passionately.
He pulled away, looking into your eyes.
"You can work here." He answered your idea, smiling.
Antonio and Feli giggled.
"T-Thank you.." You stuttered, a blush spreading across your face.
Lovino was the one who helped you wash and cut the tomatoes now, and he taught you how to knead flour and make perfect pasta.
You never left Southern Italy.
