Scorpius Pov

'It's not like it's a date or anything,  the first place—'
'You knew I loved her' Sirius shouted.
'I just wanted to make new friends—'

'Are we four not enough?' James piped in. 'Do we not hang out enough—'

'You guys all have dates—'
'I don't nor does peter' Said James.

'But you said you have to plan something or whatever' Scorpius sighed exasperated.
'Peter could show you around' said James.

Scorpius stared at the lot.
'Okay.. What if I gradually hint her that Sirius is in love with her?'
'NO... I couldn't bear rejection.. I am not like James.'

That got him a punch.
'Ow' muttered Sirius.
'I think he should go' said Remus.

James and Sirius glared at him.
Remus remained unfazed. 'He doesn't know us that well and isn't obliged to do what we say.. And it's not like they will end up in bed or something..'

Scorpius nodded.
Sirius huffed then left.
James stepped closer 'You do one wrong move, tiger and you're dead'
With that he stormed off as well.

'Woah! Thanks for that,  Remus. '
'Don't thank me. Just remember whatever you do.. Don't take the relationship to another level'

'You got it, man.'

'And this is the Three Broomsticks' said Marlene.
Scorpius now and then made fascinating remarks though he knew hogsmeade head to tail having been out here more than a million times.'

'Two butterbeers' she called out to rosmerta.. Wow, she was good looking 45 years back..

They sat a corner most table.
'So how are you finding Hogsmeade?'
'Excellent. Best place I have ever been.'

She grinned.
As she drank butter beer from one glass and twirled a strand of her hair with the other, suddenly he didn't know why but.. She seemed as attractive as ever.

'And you know why it's even more amazing? '
'The butter beer? '
'No.. Because I am here with you.'
She looked up.
'Really? That's sweet of you.'

And for a moment their eyes met and he connected with her but then the connection ran out.
'So how's hogwarts working out for you?'
'Pretty good actually—'

'You never exactly told why you transferred here' she whispered.
Scorpius hesitated carefully.

'My mom... She died' he coughed.
Actually,  it was true since his mother had actually died.

'Oh.. I am sorry' she whispered.
Scorpius didn't listen. His eyes were hazy in thought of his long-gone mother.

Later he realized he had fazed out only to realize someone was kissing him.
'Better?'
'Loads.'

They sprang apart and looked in opposite directions.
'I shouldn't have done that—' started Marlene.

'Why not? Wasn't it good?'
'It was.. for me atleast but is—'
Scorpius cut her off with another kiss.

'Yeah, okay' she said.

'We have to keep it a secret.'
'Why?'

Sirius..
'Trust me- we have to.'
'Its not like its going to be everlasting?'
'Yeah. Just a fling,  I know.. But still.'
'Okay' she said though she didn't seem okay with it.

'No this is not right. We can't do this' he clutched his head.
'Why not?'
'I am a terrible friend Marlene.. But..  Promise you won't tell him.'

'Sirius seems to like you'
She huffed. 'So? He likes loads of girls.'
'Yeah but.. It's not my part to speak of this but—'

'Are you sure you don't want to? This could end up great?'

Scorpius stared at the ceiling.
A few moments passed.
'I am sure.'
