Remus POV
'Avada Keda.. Lol, kidding'

'Wait.. Drake?'
'Yeah. We were gonna extend the prank but it's your birthday-'

'We? Who are they? James and Sirius?'
'Better. Lily and Charlotte. Here's the deal.'

Flashback
'Remus is remusing me. Help.'

'Wait, you taught them the wand thing?'
'This week was boring.. That was the point of the prank but Charlotte decided to not go through with it since it's your birthday.'

'Yeah so whatver, they side along apparated with you. Because of all the strain you fainted. Pretty much. But damn, you were scared as hell.'

'No.. No.. No. All the meaning has gone away from a Bro's Night. Where are we?'

'In a basement of some building in Manhattan.'

'This is it. Let's.. do something crazy.'

'We are going back to Hogwarts.' Lily said.
'Or we could have dinner. I am starving.' Charlotte sighed.

'We do what I say. It's my birthday.'
'Fine.' Scorpius said.
'We go bowling?'
'No.' Charlotte said.

'Laser tag?'
'No.'
'Strip Club?'
'No.'
'Wizard Duel?'

'Still no.'
'How about the Empire State Building?' asked Charlotte.

'Sounds fair if you kiss me at midnight.'
'Nope, Lupin.'
'Damn it. So close.'

James POV

'What are you guys doing here? Come in.'
'Sirius, here insisted we come. I will just go...' James said.

'Yeah.. I just want to say that I am sorry and I know I shouldn't have said that.'

She nodded.

'Especially in middle of-'
'Don't push it.'

'Funny since you were actually pushing it.' grinned James.
The couple glared at him.
'I will just leave.'

'Sirius we are sixteen and -'
'Still young, sure. But the dark forces are growing stronger everyday, Marlene. The Dark Lord-'

'Voldemort. Call him by his name' James whispered.

Sirius glared at him. ' Voldemort is out there killing a huge number of people everyday and.. it makes me worry if I will end up losing someone who I care or love about.. It makes me wonder whether I will live long or die soon. But all I know is that from now on, each day I spend my life.. I want to spend it with you. Marlene McKinnon, Will you be my girlfriend?'

'Sounds a wee bit like a pre-proposal speech but okay. I would love to be your girlfriend.' Marlene smiled.

'And to remember this I clicked a photo and discovered a new crushing level - Level 4: Sirius Orion Black.' James smirked.

'James, this is my cousin Stacy.' Marlene introduced him to her hot cousin.

'Hi. James Potter' He held forward his hand.
She shook it and smiled it.
'So.. um Hogwarts-'
'Graduated- Last Year. Ravenclaw.'

'Yeah, I know.. So.. how's outside life treating you?'
'Pretty well' she nodded.

Suddenly he got a signal in his wand.

'Yeah' he said. 'Just give me a moment, Stacy.'
'Sure'

He went to the corner of the room.

'Padfoot' he muttered.
A spark happened on the tip which told him the wand connection had set up.

'...Where are you?' he whispered to the wand.
'On the other corner. Yeah, I saw who you were chatting with and.. um could you please not mention me to her or meet me with her. Yeah, glad you-'

'Why?'
'I may have slept with her.'
'Gross.. She's Marlene's cousin. Does Marlene know about thi-'

'Obviously no. And I don't want to break up again .. so yeah..'

'Fine, but-'
'No but's.' Sirius said firmly.
'And James. Forget about lily. You need to get out more often.'

'But-'
'Is that an of, course - Sirius you are the Best I hear? Yeah, thanks but I better get going.'

'I wasnt- yeah, whatever. Shouldn't keep her waiting too long.'

'Yeah, you shouldn't.'

'We are in a random muggle hotel's terrace? What is happening in this brojourney?' Remus sighed.

'Calm down and enjoy the view.' lily said.
'No .. Lily, it's not so easy to just-'
'Just a minute left' said Scorpius.

'Can you believe the year is ending?' lily asked.

'It would have brended but thanks to you that's not happening anymore' Remus huffed.

And at that minute, the whole year passed in his mind.

It had been one hell of a year.
He looked down at his watch.

Just ten seconds..
He watched lily's gorgeous red hair.
Just five seconds..
He watched her close her eyes and breathe into the night air..
Just three seconds..

And just as he was about to kiss lily, somehow fate made him slip.

Because when the clock struck twelve, he was kissing Charlotte Stephens.. and as wrong as it was supposed to feel.. It felt right.

He felt like his whole life he had been a half solved puzzle piece and with her.. the puzzle completed itself.

He hesitated then just gave in. To what led to the best kiss of his life.
And the craziest year of his life.
