Imagine the Joker saving your life.
(I will be using the Heath Ledger Joker for this.)
•Sorry if this is boring. It's my first time trying to do a Joker imagine. Also sorry for any gramma or spelling mistakes. If you have any request, just tell me. Hope you enjoy.•

It was another dull and boring day for me. Working in a library, even if you are madly in love with books, can get boring after a while. The same repetitive things happened everyday. Someone would take a book out. Another would bring one back here. But there was an occasional time where a person would damage or lose one of our many books. That, in my opinion, is potentially the most interesting thing that happens in here.

I have been sitting on this chair for the past 2 hours without another human in sight. I understand it's a Sunday, but I would think that more than 4 people wanted to buy books today. This is the busiest day we had so far. I heard myself giggle at that, how stupid of me. Trying not to fall asleep, again, I get up and start to wonder around the library. So many beautiful books. How long would it take to read them all? More than a few years, maybe a life time. That sounds quite interesting. Reading books forever. You would go mad after a while. Not know what is real anymore.

A loud crash of breaking glass pulls me back into reality. Looking to the direction of the windows, glass what shattered everywhere. I froze in fear when I finally noticed what was thrown through the glass. A homemade firebomb? Why would someone want to destroy a liberal? What a boring idea. The fire started to spread extremely quickly. I need to run. Legs move. Now. My body didn't move. What a lovely way to die. The fire started to eat up the floor, heading straight towards me. I'm only 21, I have a life to live, I need to run.

Suddenly, as the fire was about 2 meters away, a hand grabbed mine, pulling me away. Screaming at the unexpected force saving me, I still follow behind. At this point everything was a blur. Us escaping the flames. Us running for our lives. Us getting out through the back exit. When we were outside, I started to catch my breath, I'm not in great shape. Really need to start working out soon.

After catching my breath, I was about to thank my hero, until I seen who just saved me. My body froze with shock. Is that the Joker?! Why would a famous villain save someone like me? Did I die? Is this real? His insane laughter reminded me this is real. It must be. "Cat got your tongue, doll?" He said, sounding too serious for himself. "I thought normal people would be on the floor thanking their hero for saving them by now. Are you sure you are normal, doll?" He questioned, turning his voice back into the happy yet scary one. Circling me, as he said it.

I have to say, I wouldn't mind hearing his voice everyday. What are you thinking Y/N? He is a killer! Oh well, I guess. I breath out and look up to face him. Slowly smiling I mumbled a 'thank you', resulting in a laugh from him. "You look even more beautiful than I thought, doll face. But what was that? I couldn't hear you very well, you know." He teased. "Thank you" I mumbled a bit louder. Bowing down, he replied saying "It's my pleasure, doll." Laughing at his actions, I started to hear the faint sound of police sirens coming closer.

"Well that's my call to leave. But before I do, could I get your name, doll?" Shocked at the question, I thought for a few seconds. Would I really want him to know who I am? What if he will hurt me? Well he saved me so that says something. I won't get another opportunity like this. Do it. "The name is Y/N." I reply, pulling my hand to shake with him. Mirroring my action, he does the same. He is much more polite than I thought. Laughter filled the air once again. Noticing I was starting straight at him, I pulled my hand towards myself. Feeling the blush on my face, I looked down towards the ground. "Don't hide such a pretty face. I see ya soon Y/N!" With that he turned towards an alleyway and ran.

Maybe working in a library is not as boring as you may think.
