(Heath Ledger's Joker)

It's hard to believe but the Joker was once sane,
Before he was attacked by heartbreak and pain,
His heart was shattered and brain destroyed,
He slowly fell into the insanity void,
He couldn't smile or laugh without her by his side,
She haunted his mind from the day she died,
Without her he was a complete mess,
And all of this was creating him too much stress,
Day by day he started becoming more insane,
Corrupt and twisted thoughts filled his brain,
This was an escape to forget about the loss he had,
Kill after kill he accepted the fact that he became mad,
Then next he became a monster with no heart,
But to him all of this was a new start,
However, he still held to the memory of her,
Even when the rest was just a blur,
Thinking about what she would want him to be,
Happy, smiling and just being free,
But how can he smile without her there?
Getting an idea, he went to the kitchen without a care,
This plan was the best one he had in a while,
After all of this he will for sure smile,
Grabbing a knife, he carved into his mouth and cheeks,
Now he had a bloody smile that made him one of the freaks,
Years went on, and people feared what he became,
For all the things he did, he was the one to blame,
He haunted people, like she haunted him,
He lost his mind, making the things he did grim,
The Joker or The Clown Prince Of Crime was his name,
He lost his mind, and so he had no shame,
Being proud of everything that he has done,
But at least now he was having fun,
Maybe if she didn't die that tragic night,
Everything in his life would of been right,
But instead she was gone, and so was he,
However, it felt good to him being free,
When they meet again, will she love him still?
He feared the worst, as he did things like kill,
Being sick in the head, her love may not be sure,
But he will show her that she is his cure.
