Aurora up there

Everybody ready? Let's go.

Alexander's POV

  We woke up the next morning still talking about the party last night. "Last night was fun! Well except for Dominic being a dumbass." Aurora said. "I don't what his problem is but he need to find the solution for it real quick." Sage said. "Well I think he already did." Aurora said making us all laugh. "You beat his ass something nice!" Sage said trying to imitate some my moves from last night. "I'm pissed because he really came outta of nowhere starting shit. I didn't even say two words to the nigga." I said annoyed. He really did the most for no reason. If he likes me, that's not the way to show it. Even if he did admit to liking me, the answer is fuck no. I can't another abusive ass person. I already have two of them. Times like this, I low key wish I had my brother here. He wouldn't have let that shit go down for as long as they did. 

  "There he goes again." Aurora said, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Huh?" I said. "I said there you go again daydreaming and allat. You've been doing that a lot lately. Are you ok?" she asked. "Yeah I'm good. Just have a lot on my mind that's all." I said. "You sure because you looked like you were on the verge of crying just now." Sage said. Damn I guess I was that deep in thought. "Yeah it's nothing I can't handle." I said. "That's right because you're strong baby boy. Plus, we got your back!" Aurora said while hugging me along with Sage. "Ummm this is nice and all but our breaths smell like 8 years of garbage and funky ass feet." I said as they both punched me. "What? I was being honest. My fault." I said as we all got up and went to brush our teeth. 

  We went downstairs to make breakfast, not before arguing what exactly we were going to eat. "Pancakes!" Sage said. "Ummmm ewww no. French Toast!" Aurora said. "Who's doing all of those dishes at this time of day? Not I. I say plain ole cereal for the win." I said as they both looked at me. "Nigga no. We making something to eat. Stop being lazy and break the tie." Aurora said. "How about we meet somewhere in the middle and make cinnamon waffles?" I said hoping they would like my idea. "That sounds bomb! We doing that" Sage said. "I can't wait to eat them. Let's get cooking." Aurora said. I made the waffles while Sage made cheese eggs (trynna have people on the toilet already smh), and Aurora made some ham and cut up some fruit for us to eat. 

  We made sure to make enough for Sage's parents just in case they wanted some. We had the whole house smelling good as we were working our magic in the kitchen. When the food was done, we decided to do each other's dishes so we wouldn't have to worry about them later. "It smells good in here." Mrs.Hines came walking into the kitchen. "Y'all threw down in here." Mr.H said following her. "I hope I got a plate." RJ, Sage's brother said. "Umm no. You a big boy. Make your own." Sage said swatting his hand away. "I know my sister made me some." her older sister, Shyann said. "Survey says.......That's the wrong answer." Aurora said. "Mom! Tell her to give us some." they both said complaining. "Sorry. They made it. There's nothing we can do about that." she answered shrugging her shoulders. "Cereal for two it is." I said handing both of them a bowl while we made our plates.

  "Y'all wrong for this." RJ said glaring at us. "You'll be OK." Sage said eating a waffle. "These waffles are good! Who made these?" Mrs.H said. "Alex did. They taste like heaven don't they?" Sage said. "Yes. We might need to hire you." she said. "It's nothing really." I smiled. "Who taught you how to make these?" she asked. My smile dropped a bit but I quickly recovered. "My mom did actually. We always used to be in the kitchen mixing up different things." I said smiling. I miss those days where me and my mom would spend all day making up our own recipes. "Xan! I really wish you would stop doing that." Aurora said making me laugh. "Sorry it's a habit. I'm back on earth now I said making everyone laugh. After we finished eating, we got dressed and decided to go to the park (Of course we washed up and allat). 

  "I don't know why you wanted to come here." Aurora said. "I wanted to swing and just to sit down on that hill over there that looks over looks the city." I said. "Oh ok then. Makes sense seeing as though today is beautiful day." she said back. On our way to the swings, we saw David playing basketball with his friends. "He is so fine! Goddamn!" Aurora said looking him. "I know right! He can get all of this anytime, every time!" Sage said. "He's ok I guess. Not my type but not bad either." I said being honest. He really isn't my type. Hell do I even know what my type is? I think so. I got up and walked over to the hill. I took a seat and just thought about my life at this very moment. 

  I want to be a chef. I love food and mixing and matching different ingredients to make something delicious. What happened to family? We used to be so close and solid together. I'm getting tired of getting beat by these fuckers I call parents and I can feel myself reaching my breaking point. I know that battle is gonna be tough and I may even get kicked out of disowned after that. The real question is am I ready for the aftermath that follows? Then there's college. man decisions, decisions. "I mean damn Jill Scott, done took a long walk by yourself." Sage said breaking me from my thoughts. "What ya over here thinking about kid?" Aurora said sitting to the left of me while Sage sat on my right. "Just the future. You know this is our last year of high school so I'm just making sure that I'm prepared that's all. 

  "Just know this, we will always be together. No matter what, so we better start narrowing our potential schools down to one collectively." Sage said making me smile. "Soon. Right now let's just live in the moment." Aurora said. The rest of the time we spent talking about random things and taking selfies before it was time to go. Sage decided to drop me off to my house after dropping Aurora off at hers. "Today was fun. I'll see you tomorrow kid. Make sure you text me tonight." she said after I hugged her and walked into the house. Once I got in the door, my "father" punched me in my face. "Who told you to stay out all day?" he said. I don't get why does it matter to him. "I-" was all I could say before he punched me in my stomach again. "Don't try to lie to me!" he said highly pissed. All I said was a letter but ok I guess. 

  I was about to say some thing when I felt a stinging sensation in my back. I turned around to see my mom standing there with a taser in her hand. Did she just tase me? "Say something else and I'll do it again. Longer then the first too." she said pulling out another one. I didn't say anything but turned back around to my father. He punched me again but hit my shoulder. I guessed that made him mad that he didn't have any aim so he punched me in my stomach again. I really hope that my bones can withstand this pain again. To think I was almost feeling better. I doubled over and he kicked me in my leg with his timbs. I fell to the floor with a hard thud. I hope that leg isn't broke. My mom took as the green light and decided to tase me. I screamed in pain. I hate this shit man! I don't deserve this! 

  After about three minutes, she stopped and walked away. "Get the fuck out of my face you disgrace of a son. Hurry the fuck up." my father yelled. I hurried and limped my ass to the staircase, not before getting another tase from my mom again. I checked my face to see if I had any bruising. Luckily I didn't but I couldn't say the same for my stomach. It looked like one big ass game of connect four all over. God I'm trying. I took a bath and texted Aurora and Sage good night. What a good welcome home treat.
