"But I'm not crazy!" Said my oldest patient, Jaron.

"I know." I told Jaron softly, knowing that this was the only way to calm him down. "But the rest of the world isn't ready to know that yet."

"Well, they need to get their heads out of their asses!" Jaron roared, causing me to flinch. Jaron was known for his temper, and I was really pushing his buttons today.

"Jaron, please, I'm gonna have to ask you to sit and lower your voice." I said calmly. Jaron sent me a glare and I pursed my lips and cocked an eyebrow. "Or I'll have to ask Dr. McKinnon to take you back to your room." I threatened.

The young man stiffened and slumped on the chair, adjusting his white plastic wrist band and white outfit. "I'll be good."

"Good." I sighed, running a hand through my messy brown hair, ignoring the fact that I basically threatened my patient with 'The Silent Treatment'. "Now, Jaron, I heard a rumor going around that you're calling Dr. Cassells an asshole and telling him to die. Is that true?"

Jaron bowed his blond head and nodded. "Yes."

"Why?" I asked softly, pulling out a pen and scribbling down some notes. Jaron raised his shoulder and dropped it slightly.

"He made me take some medication that makes my tummy feel gross," Jaron sighed after a few minutes of silence.

"Well, next time, tell him that, instead of calling him names." I said tapping my pen against my desk. "You hurt his feelings."

Truthfully, James didn't give a damn about what Jaron said, or what anyone else said to his face or behind his back, but I was teaching a life lesson here!

Jaron paled. "Really?"

I glanced at my watch. Already, we were five minutes over time. "Yes. How about you apologize to Dr. Cassells, and then you can go to the Sun Room. Okay?"

Jaron nodded frantically. I knew how much he loved the Sun Room. Usually, when I bribed him with the Sun Room, I got what I wanted. I kind of feel bad for that, but satisfied.

There was a slight knock on the door and I glanced up.

"Dr. Carlile?" Asked Jaron's nurse. "There's a patient waiting to see you."

I nodded. "Thanks, Leah."

Leah smiled back and winked at Jaron. "Ready to go, Bud?"

"I have to apologize to Dr. Cassells!!!" Jaron shouted frantically. "Let's go! Go! Go! Go!"

"Jaron, be polite." I scolded. Jaron turned to me, pouting.

"I'm sorry, Dr. Carlile. I just wanna go to the Sun Room."

"You know what, Jaron?" Asked Leah, excitedly. "I think I saw Dr. Cassells in the Sun Room!"

Jaron squealed and bolted from the room. I smiled at Leah, weary.

"Thank you."

She smiled back and followed after Jaron. I was enjoying my few seconds of silence when my boss, Dr. Arteaga (Valentino) walked in, a file under his arm, singing a song that he was working on as a joke.

"It's Ur Boi, Young Fuego, bouta hit the vape and get toasted like an Eggo."

"Tino, I don't-" I started, but he held up a hand.

"All I do is win, like my dude DJ Khaled! Smokin' only Kush, from the best place-" he opened his arm to me to finish his stupid rap verse.

"Oh, now you want me to interact?" I smirked. Tino wrinkled his nose and repeated the line.
