POV from Austin

There was really nothing I could do to wipe that stupid smile off my face. I walked down the halls, whistling a tune that was on my mind and I rounded the corner, headed towards the Sun Room.

"No, dolphins are gray. Hence the title of Crayola's Dolphin Gray." came a somewhat familiar voice.

"Well, there are pink dolphins too." came Alan's voice. "Right, Josh?"

There was a cough, like someone was clearing their throat and I heard Josh sigh.

"Yeah. They're in the Amazon."

"See?" Laughed Alan.

"Well, this is a bottle nosed dolphin." said that familiar voice again.

"Shut up, Phillip." Alan scolded. "God, I do silly things for you to be here and you use it to argue with me."

"Silly things?" Phil laughed, causing me to stop and press against the wall, hiding from the view of the men so Alan would continue on his explanation.

"Yeah, 'silly things', Phil. Ever heard of them?" Alan laughed.

"Well, what did you do?" Phil asked, seeming interested.

Don't tell him. Don't tell him. Don't tell him. Don't tell him. I pleaded in the back of my mind.

"Oh, just silly dirty things, Phil." teased Alan. "And now, I think I know how to get what I want."

"What kind of dirty things?" Josh asked innocently. I intervened before Alan ruined poor little Josh's mind.

"Hello." I said, causing Alan to jump and turn bright red. I pursed my lips at him, hurt from what he was saying before and turned to Josh, thinking quickly. "Josh, I was looking for you. I need your journal."

Josh was silent before eyeing me carefully. "Do you really need it?" he asked softly.

I nodded and held out my hand. Josh sighed heavily and snapped the book shut, handing it to me. I grinned easily at him and nodded to Phil and Alan.

"Nice to see you again, Phil." I waved to the long haired man by raising my hand and then dropping it. I then nodded my head to Alan. "Ashby." I grunted, then I turned on my heel and walked briskly to where my office was.

"Austin-" Called Alan's voice, but I ignored him. "Austin! Wait!" I heard him swear under his breath and run after me. I tried my best to ignore the man, but he was making it difficult by grabbing my arm and yanking on it. I turned around and glared at Alan.

"What do you want? I have to go read this." I waved Josh's journal in front of me. Alan's eyes widened and he lowered his head, looking ashamed.

"Did…did you hear what I said to Phil?" he asked softly. I nodded, scoffing about it.

"Do you know how much trouble I could get into if that got out?" I hissed. "My career could be over in a heartbeat. I don't know what game you're playing, Ashby, but keep me fucking out of it."

Alan's eyes glanced up at me, but I had no sympathy for him. "I need this job, Alan. And if something were to get out about the activities that we were involved in yesterday, I could lose my job. My life would be over. So please, please don't talk about it."

Alan blushed and ran his thin fingers through his hair. "Why do you need this job so much?" Alan mumbled. I rolled my eyes.

"Look at me, Alan." I sighed, putting my arms out beside me, wide open like a bird. "Do you see how many tattoos I have?"
