Kissing Booth- Chapter 2

Atina's pov

The sweet smell of ice-cream filled my nostrils. There were not a lot of people at the moment but i knew that people would be filling the place in about less than hour. 12 pm was always the peak hour at Arnolds

I ordered one mint chocolate chip ice-cream for myself with rainbow sprinkles and hershley chocolate syrup on top just like how i liked.

Then I also ordered a strawberry ice-cream with chocolate sprinkles  for Sapphire.

I quickly paid for it and i was about to walk over to our usual table, a
booth next to the window. I loved to peer out and look at people at the nearby park enjoying themselves.

Unfortunately , some jerks, A.k.A Liam and Justin, (who also were in my grade and classes for almost all of them.) were sitting there.

I groaned and went to sit down at a table far far away from the jerks. While waiting for my bestie , i scrolled through instagram and stalked my crush Marcus.

Yeah, i knew i would never get a chance with him.

I mean, he is one of the most hottest and smartest guys in the school and i am nothing compared to his past girlfriends.

However, i can only hope and dream for a fairy godmother to swoop in and transform me into a Victoria's Secret model.(Which, by the looks of it will never ever happen.)

"Sorry i am late!" Sapphire said as she quickly made her way to our table. She panted heavily as she put her phone down on the table.

"Ice cream for me? Thanks!" Sapphire chirped as she took a bite of the ice cream. Her panting gave away that she ran here. But she still looked amazing with not a single drop of sweat and her makeup free face looked like she had just had a gone to the spa .

And as expected, the jerks had to check her out even though she was only wearing a white tee with skinny jeans.Even simple clothes like that could get boys to stare at her.

I started by telling her how my mother had forcefully made me volunteer for the stupid kissing booth.

" Shit, thats messed up," she sympastised. "Well, who cares, imagine all the hot guys you'll be kissing," She gushed with a dreamy look on her face.

" Seriously, only you would think of that," i laughed.

She gave me a cheeky smile. That was when Justin and Liam had to ruin our privacy by coming to our table. " Hello, ladies, how can we make your evening even better," Liam smirked, creasing the corners of his honey colored eyes and showing off his dimples.

Justin and Liam were the boys who screwed with almost every girl in the school except us of course. I hated Justin and Liam with passion. Liam was just a bit better than Justin.

A bit.

Sapphire rolled her eyes and said, "Well, you can first of all,  leave us alone," She sarcastically smiled.

"Yeah, after we get you girls' numbers," they replied.

"The door is there" I said,smiling innocently while pointing at the door."Now move it."

"Whatever your loss," they smirked and walked out of the cafe.

A few seconds passed by.

" OH EM GEEEEE!!" Sapphire squealed. " I cant believe they just talked to us," she cooed with a dreamy look on her face.

I bursted out laughing. We had small encounters with the boys and she had always thought that they were super hot.She was always swooning over them and their looks. She had acted cool around them so that they would not think that she is weird when she actually is. She thought Liam was the most hottest as he always got straight a's and his personality is cute and funny unlike justin' s . He was also loaded with money as his parents had a bunch of hotels around the country.Ever heard of the Parker hotels? Yep, Liam's parents owned them.

" Also did you see how Justin looked at you? He was totally checking you out!" She pointed out.

I blushed a little, trying to hide my face behind my hair.

Wait what?

Did i just say i was blushing?

Oh no....it is not possible.

I don't like him.

I dont even know him!

I tried to keep my cool and rolled my eyes.

"What are you yapping about?" I muttered. She was shipping me and Justin for some reason. I've never really understood why.

A few minutes later, we finished our ice-cream. I also felt much better. I knew i could count on Sapphire to cheer me up.

" Thanks for cheering me up," I said with gratitude.

" What are friends for?" She replied with a sweet smile on her face.

" Um..can you uh sit by me in the kissing booth. I would feel a bit better," i asked. She agreed to it but she would not participate in the kissing.

We both went seperate ways to our homes. I arrived home and lay down on my bed. I stared at the ceiling  and pondered  about what other things were gonna ruin my day.

I felt myself getting sleepier and my eyelids getting heavier. A few seconds later i darkness covered my sight as drifted off to sleep.

I wonder what would happen at the kissing booth.
