Kissing booth - Chapter 1

This day has officially became the worst day of my life.

My mom blackmailed me into volunteering at the carnival.

I love the carnival but not working at the carnival. All you do is sit at the booth and literally do nothing. While others have so much fun going on roller coasters and eating fluffy cotton candy.

Working at the carnival is not the worst part.

The WORST thing is that i have to do it with the world's biggest slut, Jessica.

Okay, maybe i was exaggerating a little.

But can you blame me? She has always a new boy toy almost every month and wears skimpy clothes and her attitude pisses me off. Her squeaky voice and her fake smile.

Urgh.

Jessica's mother and mine are best of friends as they work at the same place. That i dont really give a shit about but that does not mean I have to be best friends with her Jessica.

I would have never ' volunteered ' at the carnival if my mom had not threatened me. She told me that she would not give me my monthly allowance for 3 fucking months and i need allowance cause i need money to go shopping , pay for my netflix account, eat and many other shit.

That's when i was tired and angry at all of the mess and i did what i normally do when im tired and angry.

Sleep.

I was very close to kicking the ass of whoever was trying to wake me up

"Atina Rosana Sterling, you better wake up now!"

Fuck my life .

I pushed the blankets off of me and tried to sit up as i rubbed my eyes. There was only one person who can boss me around. " Yes mom?" My voice was hoarse and croaky and i was positive that my hair looked like a bird's nest.

"One of Jessica's friend volunteered to help in the game booth"

My ears perked at this information.

"Are you ser-"

"-But, i will need you and Jessica to work on another booth. The kissing booth".

I stared at her unbelievably for a few seconds. I would still have to do it with Jessica! I could not belive it! My mom knows i had never kissed in my life before and anyways,who would wanna kiss me?

Second of all, who's parent would let their only daughter be kissed by a bunch of guys?!

Pffft who would want to kiss YOU?

I imagined all the boys standing in line to kiss me. I bet there would be none. I silently laughed as i thought what my best friend would think about this.

I had brown hair and plain blue eyes. Which is isnt the exact definition of beautiful so that was one of the reasons why i have never kissed a boy and never been in a relationship.

I betted there will a CROWD to kiss jessica since she dirty blonde hair and these ocean blue eyes that all boys fell for. She was also very skinny and had legs that would go on forever. The package also included a pair of perky boobs that caught all the boys attention. Also how she managed to fuck almost every boy in our cohort.

As you can already tell i hate Jessica even more than before with a burning passion.

I have no idea how my life could get worse than it already is.

I knew exactly what would cheer me up. An ice-cream date with my best friend. She always knew what to say to me and how to cheer me up. She has been by my side for the past 10 years. We stick together through anything.

I picked up my phone and texted her.

Atina: Wanna grab some ice-cream?

Sapphire : what's wrong? Are you Okay??

Atina: i'll tell you later. Meet you in 15.

My best friend knew me so well that she knew something was wrong through a text. Or maybe because we always go to the ice cream place to discuss anything

I changed into a pair a skinny jeans and a grey t-shirt. I put on my red beaten up vans and put some crumpled bills in my pocket and my phone.

And I dashed out of the house before my could mom questioned me.
