Kissing Booth- Chapter 5

Atina's Pov

I picked out my outfit for the day which consisted of jean shorts and a tank top. I tied a flannel shirt around my waist and wore some black converse.

I grabbed a granola bar from the kitchen counter and walked out of the house. I started my car and drove to school.

My parents bought me the car when i was sixteen. It was a simple black car but i liked it. I was very grateful to my parents but was still mad at my mom.

A few minutes later i arrived at school. I decided to get my daily cup of caffeine . Nothing like a good cup of coffee can bring you down.

Today i decided to get a bit of a head start for my classes today. I went to my locker and got some textbooks and a notebook to take notes. I went to the library at the first floor and sat at a table near a corner.

I got some of my highlighters and pens and started reading and summarising the chapter. A while later, the first period bell rang and i quickly packed my stuff and rushed to my classroom. Since i was rushing i hadnt watched where i was going. I felt like i had crashed into a hard wall. When i looked up to see who it was it was liam. He looked at me with those chocolate brown eyes that Sapphire got lost in.

"Easy there tiger," he said.

Tiger? What da faq?

"I have to get to class," i said, pushing him out of my way. Talking with him was very wrong and was he trying to flirt with me ? No way. There was no way in hell is he going to affect my friendship.

I went to the first period which was Art which i really enjoyed doing and was good at it. The teacher walked in a few minutes after i had sat on my sit. I also realised that both justin and liam were in the class. Liam made me wonder where in the world sapphire went. She didnt even text to inform if she was coming.

" Good Morning class, today i am going to be assigning a project. We are going to be doing Art Panels. The theme is seasons. Ill be putting you in pairs. Each person Must contribute to this project. This assignment is eighty percent of your grades," said our art teacher Mrs Hemsworth. Mrs Hemsworth was always very straight forward and doesnt waste time by explaining information that are self explantory.

" Do not hestitate to ask me any questions if you have any.Now ill going to group you in pairs," when she said that everybody groaned as they didnt have an option to choose their friend.

"Liam and Atina," she said. Shit. Sapphire is going to be mad at me even though its not my fault. My heart started racing like crazy as i thought about all the work i had to with Liam.

Liam's Pov

As soon as i heard that i was partnered with Atina i felt like god had finally answered my wishes. Atina was my crush for the past two years. She had always been on my mind even when im screwing other girls.

She got me by her jasmine perfume scent.

She got me by her hair that flows down her back.

She got me whenever she plays with her hair when she is lying.

She got me by her mesmerising blue that turns light blue when she is lying.

She got me everything about her.

I know she was never going to like me cause i was always Justin's wingman. She would probably like Justin and not me. I was always second. I was always behind justin.

I was always bummed out by the fact but i have to face reality. Reality is harsh.

I guess i had to just be grateful that i could hang out with Atina even though its just for a project.

Maybe one day, my wish will come true. Maybe one day i'll find the who will like me and not justin
