The next morning I woke up feeling better. Better than I have in years. But there was that little voice in my head, asking me if what I did yesterday was the right thing. I mean I know Kadeem's my friend, but what if he told someone? I can trust him. Can't I ? I jumped of my bed and did my usual morning routines, before walking back into my room to find my brother Jeremiah. I raised my eyebrow and slowly walked towards him.
" Ermm, Jeremiah can I help you? I woke up today on my own , so . . . "
" Angel, I just . . . " I said before sighing.
" You just . . . " I prompted.
" I just want my sister back " he said whilst walking out of my room, not before I saw hurt flash through his eyes.
I was shocked. Very shocked.
I wish he could have his old sister back, but she's long gone. Possibly forever. I continued to get ready for school in deadly silence. I didn't even have breakfast, I just walked out of my house to school.
* School *
I was totally oblivious to my surroundings, I didn't realise I was in school until I bumped into a hard chest. Again. I seem to have been doing that a lot lately. I looked up to see Jace staring at me smirking. I just wasn't in the mood, so I kissed my teeth and started to walk away. I guess I wasn't quick enough, because he grabbed my arm.
" What do you want? " I snapped. I wanted him to know I was annoyed and leave me alone.
" What's wrong? You normally say something " he said smirking.
" métete en tus asuntos. " I sneered.
" What? Ange- I mean Alana I have no clue what your on about " He said.
" I said mind you own f*cking business " I snapped before storming away, gaining stares from random people.
I felt a strong arm grab my shoulder, and I instantly felt calmer.
I let out a heavy sigh. I just wish he could make the pain go away. If only he could.
" Angel, what happened back there? " He asked.
" Kadeem I honestly don't know. I just . . . snapped. " I told him honestly.
" I told you to give him a chance, not make things worse " he said smirking.
" Sorry dad, I'll try harder next time " I replied sarcastically.
Me and Kadeem walked to form in silence. Not an uncomfortable silence though. We got to tutor late - as usual - but Mrs Gabbs didn't say anything. I wouldn't blame her though. I sat with my normal ones (and Jace) at the back, chatting nonsense when Jay Sean caught my eye. He was . . . screwing me ?
" Jay, why you bare screwing for? " I asked.
Everyone immediately went quiet, waiting for an explanation.
" Because, Alana I text you yesterday asking a very valid question and did not get a reply. " He said folding his arms, and screwing me once again.
Then it hit me. The question about the worms. Is he really serious? So I pulled out my phone and text back:
To: Jay Sean
Jay I think Bri is gassing. Worms do have legs! Don't listen to that idiot
Alana :)
I watched his face carefully, as I smile took place. Wow! He was really something. I watched as me mocked Bri with my text, telling her how she's stupid. That was totally a Jay Sean moment.
* RING RING *
The bell went for the first lesson, and we all got our stuff together and headed for maths. I looked around and noticed Jace was no where to be seen. Strange. I brushed off the weird feeling and walked to maths with everyone. As we walked into class, I noticed Jace sitting at the front of the room.
" Hi Jace " I said
He didn't reply. Ummm, ok then.
" Jace ? " I asked
" Look Alana, I don't know what I've done to make you hate me, so I'm gonna stop talking to you and you can do the same. You made it very clear this morning. I'm not gonna try anymore, your friends don't mind me so I can stay friends with them " He snapped.
For the second time that day I was shocked. Kadeem came over and spud Jace.
" Yo Jace, come with us to the back " he simply said
And he did. Jace came with us. But I didn't get it. I wasn't really that mean to him , was I ?
I felt my phone vibrate, snapping me out of my day dream.
Mums going to visit dad, she'll be back in 2 weeks. Free yard, you can bring your friends round. No one coming home till friday.

" Guys wanna come round? " I asked nervously.
" What, the famous Alana letting people into her home? " Natasha faked being shocked.
" I dunno Lana, I have better things to do . . . " Brielle trailed of.
" Shut up guys. She's serious you know. She doesn't have a lot of friends! Well anyway I'll be there senorita " Jay Sean said grinning.
I just rolled my eyes.
" Don't need to ask me twice " Kadeem said not really paying attention.
" We'll come! " Natasha and Brielle exclaimed in unison
" Whatever " Jace mumbled but I still heard.
I've really done it know. Made an enemy already. Wow!
The end of the day came to quickly. Anyway, we all made our way to my house, and we were making so much noise. It was actually unreal. When we got to my house they all threw their bags and jackets all over the floor.
" You lot know this is my house right, so pick up your fricking stuff " I said
They started mumbling, but did so anyway. I smirked to myself.
We messed around for like 3 hours, ordering pizza, play fighting. Just acting like complete idiots. I was actually having fun.
For once.
I decided to take the extra cups to the kitchen whilst everyone was engrossed in the movie.
I heard soft footsteps behind me whilst I was walking, but thought it was one of the girls. But when I felt his fingers on my arm I knew it was Kadeem. His touch made the most hurtful pain simmer down.
" Come Angel, we need to talk " he whispered his warm breath made my skin tingle. I agreed and we both walked up the stairs quietly into my room.
When we entered my room, he turned round and just stared at me.
My breathing increased and . . .
