chapter 11.5: Halloween Special

Cada pov

It was a cold October evening and I was walking around the town centre with one of the division two inspectors, Risa Aoyanagi. It was just two days before Halloween and all of the MWPSB divisions had decided to hold a small party to celebrate. We had all been split into groups to gather everything we needed and my group was in charge of decorating.

"Let's look in here next" Risa said as she pulled me along with her into yet another Halloween themed store. We had been shopping for two hours at this point and all I wanted to do was go back to the comforting warmth of my room.

After watching psycho-pass multiple times I didn't expect Risa to be this happy about Halloween. She always seemed so serious in the show.

We reached the small shop quickly and I quickly cheered up once I saw all of the amazing decorations which made me think back to the previous Halloween that I had celebrated with my mother and other members of my family. After that my cheerful mood was ruined and I continue to follow the inspector around the shop.

-time skip-

We finally arrived back at the MWPSB building and I ran to my room before collapsing on my bed. It was now ten o'clock at night which meant she had been out shopping for seven hours.

Risa had decided to get enough decorations to decorate the whole building, which, in my opinion, was way too many.

I was decorating the office with Kagari. I was having some trouble hanging a plastic bat on the wall when someone came behind me and lifted me up. I quickly hung up the bat and was placed back down on the ground. I turned around to face Kagari and blushed as I realised how close he was. He also noticed and quickly stepped away.

I picked up a piece of paper and wrote 'thank you' on it before handing it to Kagari.

"You're welcome" he said as he went back to decorating.

I quickly went back to decorating the walls.

-time skip-

Loud music filled the office. Everyone was in their Halloween costume. I was dressed as a creepy porcelain doll.

Everyone was either dancing or standing around talking about their latest jobs. I ended up sitting in a corner out of the way since I didn't really know what else I could do.

3rd person P.O.V

Kagari noticed Cada sitting in the corner alone and went up to her.

"Cada, do you want to dance?" He asked as he held out her hand.

She looked up, a slight blush visible on her face. She nodded her head and took Kagaris hand.

They ended up dancing and hanging out for the rest of the party.

-Time skip-

Cadas P.O.V

The party ended and I went back to my room. I changed out of my costume before collapsing onto my bed. The party had completely exhausted me and by now all I wanted to do was sleep.

I closed my eyes and soon I was fast asleep.
