chapter 6: becoming an enforcer

I wake up to see that I am in a bright white room. I look around to see that everything is white. Wait, this place seems familiar. Is this the isolation facility?

Why am I here?!

The person giving me a check up finally leaves and I'm once again stuck in the silent room. I've been here for a month now. Ever since I got here I've refused to talk to anyone. I probably won't talk again if I'm stuck here for the rest of my life.

Suddenly a question comes into my head. The same question I've been asking myself since I got her...

Why am I in the isolation facility?

I start to think about everything that has happened to me. Since the moment I found out about my mum's death till right now. I scream on the inside.

I need to calm down and think. If I don't my psycho-pass will rise. That would just make things worse than what they already are.

What did I do to deserve all of this? I want to go home. I want to go and see mum.

But I can't.

I start to sob uncontrollably which then turned into full on crying. I eventually fell asleep on the uncomfortable bed.

Yayoi pov
I was sitting at my desk doing my usual reports. Kagari was slacking off while ginoza was shouting at him. Masaoka and kogumi were off duty which meant it was alot quieter than usual.

Kagari eventually started to work and Ginoza went back to his seat, however, before he had a chance to sit down Chief Kasei walked in.

"Chief, why are you here?" Ginoza asks, he sounded slightly surprised but that is probably because the chief rarely visits our office.

"There is someone I would like you to recruit as an enforcer. Sybil has judged her and it seems like she would be good at this job. She may be a bit younger than the usual age restrictions but I'll let that go this time" the chief says "here are her files. I expect you to recruit her soon." She hands a file to Ginoza before exiting the room.

Ginoza looks down at the file in his hand and starts to read through it but soon stops. His emotionless expression changes to one of shock.

Kagari walks over to him. He stares at the file for a few seconds before he also looks shocked.

"What wrong?" I ask in my usual monotone voice.

"It's that girl. The girl from the other day" Kagari answers. "Not just that. She's only fifteen"

They're recruiting a fifteen year old?! Why? She's only a young girl. This would be too dangerous for her.

"*sigh* Kagari come on. We've got a new enforcer to recruit" Ginoza says.

"Are you out of your mind?! She's just a kid we ca-" Kagari tries to say but is then cut off by Ginoza.

"Do you think I want to recruit a child? This is orders from the chief. I have no choice. Also, she is probably more mature than you at least." Ginoza says, just before walking out of the office. Kagari reluctantly follows him.

I guess it might be nice to have another girl around for once. The guys always end up arguing.

Cada pov
I wake up once again to see the same white walls. I want to leave this place now.

One of the workers open up the door to my room and walk in.

"You have visiters" she says in a bored tone. I look up at her and glare at her with my icy eyes. Before climbing out of the bed and following her to the visiting area.

I've changed alot in this past month. I no longer show my emotions when I'm in front of others. Instead I cry or get angry when I'm alone. Before I came here I was always cheerful even when I was upset.

We soon reach the visiting area and I am told to sit in front of a window which cuts me off from the visitor from the visitor. When I see who it is I stare in shock. Ginoza is sitting on the other side of the widow while kagari is leaning against the wall behind him.

"Hello, I'm inspector ginoza and I'm guessing you want to know why we're here? Am I correct?" Ginoza asks. I nod my head even though I know why they're here. "Ok, we're here to ask if you would like to become an enforcer. Sybil has judged you and it seems like you have the right skills. So would you like to join?"

I think about it for a bit before slightly nodding my head.

"Ok, take this compact and change into something more suitable then meet us outside" he says before leaving along with Kagari.

I go back to my room. I use the compact to change into a white blouse with a bow, a puffy black skirt, and a black blazer. With it I wore black Mary-Janes and whit knee high socks.

I run outside to meet Kagari and Ginoza at the car and climb in the back seat. Ginoza drives off towards the MWPSB building.

I wonder how this will go.
