Chapter 3: Jenovia

Back with Jenovia...

"Runaway with me"

I looked at him in utter shock before getting up and said "Not yet." With that I walked off and joined my family only turn back to see him staring at me with a smirk. I got home and prepared my satchel with the necessities for tomorrow's hunt and went to be bed.

I got up the next morning and did my daily routine before going to check in at the job center.

As soon as I was sitting down to breakfast (which is the only meal that I share with my family at our home) when I heard knocking at the door so I excused myself from the table and went over to the door to open it to Jay standing there with a dumb smile on his face. "Morning precious you ready" my father walked up behind me and in a deep voice he said "Jeremiah how's it going?" Then from behind me mom yelled wondering Jay had eaten yet so my father invited him in to eat with us.

Jay and I got up after eating then washed our dishes before I said goodbye to my family and them wishing me luck. I grabbed my bag as I headed out with Jay walking side by side towards the job center.

J-"I heard Addie's sick today."

Jen-"Really? She's never called sick ever"

"That's what I was thinking."

As we were walking out to the fence I see Addie at the makeshift salon before she entered she looked up and put a finger over her lips. We went out of the village and grabbed our weapons.

Jen-"Wanna head over to the lake and decide what to do from there."

His eyes lit up and jumped like a little kid when you give them gifts. He noticed I was staring at him and stopped and cleared his throat then said "sure" and shrugged. I shook my head at smirked at him before walking towards the lake; the path to the lake was nonexistent so we had to dodge shrubs and random bugs every now and then. We got to the lake finally and walked around the edge before deciding to fish then hunt from the trees.

We caught ten fish and put them on a rope and kept them in the water for us to get later. Jay walked around before looking up at a tree and pointing up and looking at me.

J-This is a good tree

Jen- Shouldn't we hunt from more than one tree.

J-I guess we could but I couldn't help you up.

Jen- oh true

He laughed at me then hopped onto the nearest branch and leaned down to help me up. I grabbed his hand and pulled me up as he helped me up I started to look around then we stopped.

J- This is high enough you sit on that branch and I'll sit here.

Jen- ok.

We sat there for hours before we went down and collected our game and headed back into town.

J- Jenny? You know that with all this we won't need to go to work tomorrow....

Jen- Yeah and...

J- wanna come over and hang out tomorrow?

Jen- Sure.

After that we split to our houses. As I entered my house I felt something off about the atmosphere in here. I walked to the living room calling for my parents but stopped when I saw the two people I wished never to see in my house when I came home...Chandler and Theresa, Addison's parents, I started to back out when my parents, Addison, and her parents looked at me stopping me in my tracks.

Zenith- Get in here young lady.

I walked in with a fake smile and greeted our guests before sitting down on a chair next to my parents.
