When Two Worlds Meet

Chapter 4: Skylar

Skylar's story...

I listened to my sister make a racket until two in the morning when the police finally shut her up and took her. I know I'll have to take care of her later and get her out but this should teach her to be more careful. I went to sleep watching iZombie.

It was 9:00 a.m. by the time I woke up to knocking at the door. Yawning I walked over to the door and checked to see who it was before opening the door. I immediately woke up when I saw who it was then checked the mirror next to the door...yep I look like shit...the knocking sounded again so I brushed out my hair and put it up then straightened up my clothes. I opened up the door and greeted Gina. She immediately jumped and hugged me, I stood there unsure what to do so I wrapped my around grabbed her stuff with my free hand then closed the door with my foot. As I walked to the couch I felt moisture on my shoulder so I set her down next to me letting her hug me still before asking her what's wrong.

Gina- *sniffling* I...heard...that the police....caught someone...they've been...trying to get for...months...I thought...it was...you.

I smiled then grabbed the tissue box before wiping her face of running makeup and tears.

Sky- I'm fine...*gesturing to myself* see nothing to worry your pretty little head over. I'm too smart to be caught by them.

She nodded and got up then rummaged through her stuff grabbing a tiny bag she came over and handed it to me.

Skye- what's this?

Gina- It's a present.

Skye- It's not my birthday or any holiday that I know of.

Gina- Just open it.

I reluctantly opened it and to my surprise it was a watch with a compass within it. (the one in the picture)

Gina- I immediately thought of you when I saw it.

Smiling I put it on and looked up at her.

Skye- you shouldn't have.

Gina- I know but I just thought tha-

I hugged her tighter and started giggling. She eventually hugged me back resting my head on her shoulder I whispers in her ear "Do you wanna go see a movie?" She pulled away with a confused face.

Gina- Well I uh *her face turned red*

Skye- you don't have to its just um.

Just then my roommate walked in and almost screamed.

Lucio- oh my g girl, is this her?

I slowly turned around towards him then slowly flipped him off without Gina seeing. He just bit his lip stifling a laugh then came over ,kicking off his shoes and put his bag down, grabbed her hand and introduced himself.

Lucio- Hey my name is Lucio ,drag queen extraordinaire, I'm also my girl Skye's room mate.

Gigi- *smiling shaking his hand* My name is Gina Madeline Destivas.

Lucio- *sitting down scooting me over* Destivas that sounds like a drag name can I have it for my baby?

Gina- Um*looking at me*

Skye- You see Lucio here is getting old so he has brought on an "apprentice".

Lucio- I'm not old I saw some fine fresh meat and brought him on to be my apprentice.

Gina started laughing while we looked at her then I turned to see Lucio giving his P.O.ed face so I snickered.

Lucio looked at us then got up and took his stuff to his room then slammed the door.
