Chapter 11: Skye

'What the hell was she thinking?' I thought to myself as I passed around the living room. I look up at my guests and grab my hair tugging on it "shit guys I need somewhere to put you."

The guy with them pushed off the wall and pushed me onto the couch And said one word "calm" before going to the kitchen. The blue haired girl sat next to me as Jenovia went with the boy.

Lucio came back as soon as Jay finished making something I've never seen before. Jen spoke up "this is Oden before the crash it was a traditionally a winter dish in the Japanese culture but our little village tweaked it to support the animals we have now. It's supposed to be a comfort food and Jay makes it the best in the village." She smiled as she tugged on his arm as his hand met hers.

"I hope you don't mind making me a bowl." Lucio piped in.

"No problem, Lucio." Jay replied with a sad look in his eyes.

Once everyone was served Jay and Jen sat on the couch cuddled up to each other talking about who knows what. I looked at Lucio "You never did tell me where you came from before...you know." He was mid sip and almost choked.

He looked towards the couple on the couch and then set his spoon down. "Jay come over here."

Jay came over and set next to Lucio and that's when I saw some similarities. "Jay is my younger brother or cousin in some cases. As a young kid I was taken by sex traffickers one night when I went to let my cat in because I thought I heard it scratching. Boy was I wrong! They snatched me up immediately using who knows to drug me after that all I remember was you, Skye."

Jay looked at me, down, then at Lucio "I may not remember you exactly but Dad's gone and mom's out of it the little ones are doing great."

"How many are there now?" Lucio leaned back crossing his arms.

"8 she kept being given children instead of sending them somewhere like these towns."

"You know how they are especially with the population if they sent away more of us it would be better."

"Wait" he put his elbows on the table a held out his hands "They sent you away you didn't run?"

"Hell no there wasn't anything out here for me. I mean what was I supposed to do at that age they sent me into sex trafficking."

"I wish I knew that I would've encouraged mom to get more kids. Aunt Susan freaks out at every sound cause of your disappearance. Oh aunt Susan been depressed ever since you left it sucks I found her close to death several times."

"She wasn't a good mother anyways ever since dad left her for the fields and his mistress. I'm glad you turned out okay." He held his hand out and they both got up doing some weird handshake then laughing."

Crossing my arms "Lucio share your room with him I can possibly either share my bed or they can stay out on the couches."

I looked over at the girls as they sat there staring. "We'll take the couches we've had plenty of hospitality and we thank you for it." The blue haired, Alison, finally spoke up.

"Suit yourself. My beds pretty comfy." Agor rubbed against my leg and I picked him up looking at his cyborg parts. I set him down and grabbed my mulitool to fix his eye "one day I'll get you a surgeon who can help with that faux eye of yours." He meowed in reply.

I got up and headed towards my room "I'm out night everybody." Then I closed my door with Agor with me.

I heard everyone get adjusted then the lights were off.

I woke up to the smell of bacon, eggs, and pancakes. I opened my door after checking the time "Why the hell are you guys up at 7 o'clock in the morning?" I looked at Jen, Ally, jay, and Lucio as they stopped dancing around the kitchen and stared at me.

"I'm sorry Miss Skye we though you would like some breakfast." Jen spoke first.

"It was my idea sorry Kris." Lucio said protecting them from my morning wrathe.

Agor sat at the kitchen table cleaning his real paw and watching them. Then the door opened and Gigi walked in caring bags of groceries when she saw me her face lit up. "Good morning, sunshine. How's you sleep?"

"Good I guess as good as you can when there are strangers sleeping on your couch."

"That's wonderful. We made breakfast but it's special breakfast that they make once a year. Isn't that cool?"

"Yeah amazing." I said in a bored kind of tone then I helped her put the groceries up.
