I arrived at Incheon Airport and saw my grandparents.

I smiled and walked to them. "How have you been grandpa? Grandma?"

"We're doing fine, Kiera. Oh, we missed you a lot. Let's get in the car."

I loaded my luggages in the trunk and sat at the backseat.

"Have you eaten?" grandma asked.

"Yeah," I answered. Actually, I didn't ate much. I didn't have the appetite. I didn't want her to worry.

She nodded but she kept glancing back at me. I was aware that she knew I was hiding the pain behind this smile of mine.

Meanwhile, my grandfather kept glancing at me through the rearview mirror. I could see that both of them were worried about me.

"I'll be fine," I told them. Still, they weren't at ease.

It was a long ride so I decided to take a nap after the long hour ride. But before I dozed off, I heard my grandmother speak, "I hope she'll be strong."

A tear dropped from my eyes and I didn't bother to dry it off.
-----

"Kiera, we're here,"sang my grandfather.

I woke up from my sleep and climbed off the car. I got my luggages and carried it into the house. It was good to be back here.

I glanced across the house. The Korean aura soothes me. I can't believe I am here sooner than I thought I would.

I feel calmed for a while by the air coming in from the front window. I wish my parents were here.

I exhaled loudly and then my grandmother called me.

"Come here, from now on, this room is yours,"my grandmother whispered loudly, using all her strength to at least flash a smile to me. Telling me that everything was going to be alright.

I entered the room slowly. This room was the room which I have always wanted to own whenever I went to Korea. I've always begged my parents so that we could move to Korea since I was still a small kid. But now that I'm here, it won't matter if I couldn't own this room. All I want right now is my parents to be alive. But I knew that was impossible.

I snapped out of my thought before I tear up. I went back outside to the living room to get my stuff. Once I re-entered the room, I unpacked my things with the help of my grandfather.

"Where's grandma?"I asked.

"Oh, she's cooking you seaweed soup. You should eat,"my grandfather replied.

Even though I had told them that I have eaten, they were still corncerned for me. They understood the situation I was in.

Once we were done, my grandmother served me seaweed soup. I slowly took a sip although I didnt have an appetite. I didn't want them to worry more.

The taste of the seaweed soup reminded me of my mother. She sometimes made me this soup whenever I missed Korea. She had learned the recipe from my grandmother so her soup almost had the same tasteas my grandmother. Of course, at first the one my mother made wasn't as good as my grandmother's but she improved everytime.

When we were done eating, we watched a movie in the living room together.

"Oh, grandma and grandpa? Are you not opening the restaurant today?"I asked. They usually work everyday.

"Oh, we decided to take the day off. After all, we want to welcome our granddaughter here."

I smiled at them and we continued to watch the television.

It was almost nighttime and I was waiting for my new phone number.

My phone rang which startled me. I checked the caller ID and I was even more shocked when I read Mark's name on my screen.

I quickly answered the phone call.

"Hello?" I spoke slowly through the phone.

"Hey Kiera, it's been long since we contacted each other. I'm sorry but I was busy with the comeback. Finally I've got the time to call you. So how are you doing?"

"Oh, it's alright. I'm fine. Oh, I'm sorry but I have to get going now. I'm actually changing my phone number to Korean phone number right now. I'll call you in a while,"I said quickly and ended the phone call. I took the number and went back to my grandparents' house.

I stood on my balcony and called Mark just as I promised him.

"Hey Mark. I'm sorry but I was in a rush just now. I hope you're not busy right now."

"Hello Kiera. Ah, it's alright. I'm not busy right now so it's okay. By the way, you're in Korea right now?"

"Mhm hmm"

"Oh, that's sooner than you told me. And you sound sad. What's wrong? Did something happen? Is that why you're here right now? I mean, I have no right to interfere but I am worried as a friend of yours,"

"I don't know," I heistated and Mark was quiet as he waited for me to reply him. "Actually, my parents, they're gone. Forever,"my voice almost broke.

"Oh God. Kiera, I'm sorry for your lost,"

"Oh, I have to go now. Goodbye."I ended the call and the tears that I've been holding in finally flowed like crazy.

I tried to stop myself but the wind and the falling leaves outside was as if immitating my painful life.

I heard the door to my room open. I didn't bother to turned around and a pair of hands hugged me from behind. It was my grandmother.

"It's okay, Kiera. It's alright,"she said, stroking my hair.

I turned around and hugged her. I cried in her arms. "I miss them so much, grandma."

"I know,"my grandma said. "I miss your father and your mother was a great person."

We both cried in the cold, under the dark sky.
