After visiting the graveyard, I followed Aunt Maurine back to her house with my things and I was going to spend the night there. It was actually great to have someone back in LA to depend on.

"Do you need anything else?" Aunt Maurine asked me for one last time before she goes to sleep.

"No. Thank you for letting me stay here, Aunt Maurine. I'll let you know if I need anything,"I said to her. She nodded and went to her room.

I laid on the bed of the guets room but I couldn't sleep yet. I just got used to the Korean time.

Just then my door was knocked and it opened, revealing Noah. "Not alseep yet?"he asked.

"Nope. Just not used to the time."I said.

"Oh, I couldn't sleep as well so that's why I came here."He said and sat on the chair. "By the way, how's Korea?"

"Well, I don't know. It's kinda great to be there. But I missed home a lot."

"Are you going to continue school there?" he asked.

I just remembered about school hmm. "I guess so. It's my last year before I graduate high school. So I'm going to give my best and maybe get a scholarship to college."

"I see. Have you registered yet?"

"Nope, I still have a month before summer break is over so."

"Hmm. Alright then, I better go now. You should go to sleeo too. You're taking the 8 am flight tomorrow."

"Yeah, Goodnight."

"Goodnight."

2 days later

I was doing the laundry when Mark suddenly called me.

"Hello, you just arrived?" I talked through the phone.

"Yeah, wanna get something to eat? I'm hungry."

"Well, if you're not tired. The flight is just too long."

"Alright, meet up at the the restaurant near the dorm. The one I told you about before."

"Ahh, that one. Alright see you in an hour? "

"Yup. See you."he said and ended the call.

I quickly finished my work and got changed.

"Grandmother, can I go out? I'm eating dinner with a friend." I called since they were still at the restaurant.

"Sure but promise me to take care of yourself. Be careful of the kidnapper, alright?"

"I promise, Grandma. I'll help out at the restaurant later after I get back."

"Alright. Be careful."she ended the call. Probably the restaurant is busy right now.

"What do you want to have today?"I asked Mark.

"I feel like having Japchae,"

"Me too."

We orded Japchae and other side dishes.

"Oh, anyway, I forget to ask you something, Kiera."

"Yes?"

"I remembered that day you said the kidnapper, Rick might not come back after what you did. What actually did you do?"Mark asked.

Flashback (Third person)

Rick came back into the room after settling the problem with the loud noise outside. He was angry and frustrated again when Kiera was gone and managed to escape, again.

"What the heck of a joke is this again? Where are the guards?"Rick

He grabbed each one of the gurads collar and yelled at them. "How did she escaped?! Didn't I tell you to guard her?! I'm going to become crazy if this continues."

Just then one of his men got out of the room. "Boss, I think the girl knows about us."

"What are trying to say?"Rick asked him.

The man showed him piece of paper. "I think the girl left this int the room."

Rick snatched the paper from his hand and read the note.

I'm giving you a warning. I won't put you in jail right away. Rick, I know your name and I am going to find more about your background. You think you can run away from the police once I hand the documents in? If you mess with me again I won't hesitate to put you in jail.

Rick was puzzled and didn't know what to do. "I can't go to jail,"he thought. "That girl! Fine. I'll let you go this time but how dare she threaten me?!"

"So what are you gonna about it, Rick?"one of his men asked.

"Let's stop it here,"Rick answered.

"What? But-"

"I said let's stop! I know she'll get the documents easily. I can't go to jail. So let's end it right here," Rick demanded.
