"Otōsan. Where's Okaasan?" Kuro's son , Mahiro asked his father. Kuro looked down at his son , smiling. "He will be back." Mahiro nodded , sighing sadly. The child ran back to his playroom , playing with his toys. Kuro walked to the playroom and smiles softly at his six year old son. His son had brown hair , light brown eyes , and his smile could light up an entire room. "Mahiro. Okaasan went into the war to save our country." Mahiro looked over at his blue haired father , and frowned. "But.. He should be home by now.." Mahiro hiccuped , he was going to cry. It was true that Mahiru should have been home about a month ago , and if he would have passed away , they would have came to their door or sent a letter. Neither have been done yet. "Shh. He will come home soon , let's believe in him, okay?" Kuro knelt by his son, and hugged him tightly.

Mahiro returned the hug , crying softly into Kuro's blue jacket. Kuro frowned , his son was in so much pain he didn't know what to do. He really hoped Mahiru would come home soon.

Another month passed by , and it would soon be Kuro's birthday. It wasn't really a big deal for him , he always knew Mahiru would go crazy for his boyfriends birthday. Kuro would be turning twenty four. He and Mahiru were two years apart. "Otōsan! There's a letter~" Kuro's heart jumped from his chest. This letter could either be really good , or really bad. His hands were shaking as he walked to the door , grabbing the letter from the mailman.

"Thanks." Kuro then closed the door once he ushered his son back inside. "What does it say?" Mahiro's brown eyes widened , and his lips formed a pout. Kuro ripped open the envelope , and read down the letter. His crimson eyes were wavering with tears , a mouth covered his hand as he put the letter down. "Mahiro. Go get a jacket on." Mahiro did what he was told , and ran to his bedroom.

Kuro arrived at the airport. Families everywhere. They weren't inside of the airport they were where the planes would arrive. Kuro held his sons hand , looking everywhere as soldiers walked to their families. He looked for brown hair and light brown eyes. "Please.. Please , be here." Kuro whispered. Mahiro noticed his fathers hand shaking as he held it , then kissed it. "Otōsan? Where's Okaasan?" Kuro shrugged , not seeing Mahiru anywhere.

"I don't know.. I dont know." He answered truthfully. Most of the soldiers had returned to their families. An elderly woman noticed the blue haired man , and walked up to him. "Sweetie. If he doesn't show , just know he fought for you. Have faith and hope he shows up." She said sweetly , before walking away. Kuro's eyes were watering as he continued to search. His eyes landed on a bundle of messy brown hair , light brown eyes that looked like a gorgeous sunset when the sun gleamed on them .

"Okaasan!" Mahiro let go , running towards his mom. Kuro did the same , Mahiru ran towards Kuro , embracing the two in a large hug. Kuro cried in Mahiru's shoulder , running his fingers through his boyfriends brown locks. "You're alive. You're alive." Kuro repeated in a whisper , as he shared a warm kiss with his brown eyed lover. Mahiru smiled , picking  Mahiro up as he wiped away his sons and boyfriends tears. "I'm alive. And I'm never leaving again." Kuro smiled , embracing his small family again.

His boyfriend was alive , they could continue on having a family. And making great memories.
