THE MORGAN'S house was filled with delicious scents emanating from everywhere, the kitchen, the living room.
Usually, Annabel enjoyed Christmas, it was her favorite time of the year. But this time, she was nervous. She couldn't help thinking about Dean, that she would meet two days later.
She didn't know how to act when he would realize it was her all along.
Instead of picturing the best way it could happen in her dreams, she was having the worst nightmares about it. Dreaming that Dean would laugh at her and then reject her.
And it kept looping in her mind, the girl barely eating anything.
"Are you okay, sis?" Logan asked, handing her a cup of hot chocolate.
"Oh yeah, yeah, don't worry."
Logan raised his eyebrows, not sure if he could insist a little more.
"Of course I worry, besides summer I only see you at Christmas, so seeing you distant is quite upsetting."
Annabel pulled an exaggerated sad face before jumping in her brother's arms, the embrace soon turning into a tickle fight.
. . .
Annabel and Dean are meeting in the next chapter so be ready ;)
