"Hey ladies"
"Hey Paula"
"We weren't supposed to meet today but we got your text of us meeting.
"What happened?" Mia asked on behalf of the other members gathered.
"Well I am sorry to have interfered with any activities you guys had but there's an urgent matter we need to handle.
Emily called me yesterday in tears about how awful the dinner went with her parents"."I know this was really none of our business as some of you would be thinking but one of our objectives as members in this group is to look out for each other. We can't just abandon her ; not in this situation" I said.
"So what are we waiting for;
let's get down to it" they shouted"Mia, could you please get in touch with Sean.
"Alright am on it"
"Thanks" I responded

Thirty minutes later, Sean walked into our meeting.
"Hey guys...I was told I would find Emily here" he asked
"Not really Sean...we just wanted to ask you some few questions if you don't mind and as you can see, Emily couldn't make it to school today.
The last time we spoke, she said she had been grounded for a whole month and that we should get in touch with you and let you know what's going on.
She didn't want you to feel like she was avoiding you or something"."Hmmm, he sighed ...I can't imagine the hell she's going through because of me".
"It's not your fault Sean, don't beat yourself over this" Mia said trying to console him.
"Sean, how do you feel now and how do you feel about this situation with your future in-laws if there should be progress?" I asked
Sean
"Hmm he sighed...I feel terrible seriously, I imagined the worse that could possibly happen but not this.
I went there with a clear conscience trying to win my ex future in-laws with my charms and charisma but I never thought it would end the way it did you know; and now my ex-girlfriend is grounded because of me and would probably not be talking to me again.
I respect their beliefs and all that but I can't practically become a Christian just because I am dating their daughter. It's something I have to decide on my own with no pressure.
I don't know; but I think their attitude has taught me something you know.
Something I should have realized a long time but because I loved their daughter, I ignored them"."You used phrases like;ex future in laws, and suddenly you've realized something you should have a long time ago?..."
"Are you thinking of breaking up with Emily?"
Sean
"Her parents haven't given me much of a choice.
I can't date her in secret; we've been together for a year and suddenly we have to hide to express our feelings?
I am sorry but I can't do that.
We've been through so much and I would be crushed if we'd break up but I don't have a choice here.
I would also like her to be happy and be with someone her parents would appreciate.
Am sorry; I just can't do this anymore. .." he said and then walked out of the room.We were all quiet for a while and then the "What? To? Do? next?" question pop's up from the other girls.
"Well ,I don't know for now but the meeting is adjourned. Thanks guys for making it here today" I said in a sad tone😟😟.
"Oh God, please make a way" I prayed silently 🙏
