Ch 8- Girlfriend?
Ratliff's POV
I'm sitting in the treehouse looking at photos when I hear Rydel come up the ladder.
"What are you doing up here" she asks.
"I just needed to breath" I say.
"It's ok if your sad you know" Rydel says.
"It's just hard I mean my birthday so close after my parents death I don't get much time to grieve" I say.
Just as I finished what I said she did something I never expected she kissed me and I did something that surprised me even more I kissed back.
"Wow" that's all I could say.
"Best kiss ever" Rydel says.
"Isn't this the only kiss you've ever had" I tease.
"Yes but I can still say it's the best cant I" she teases back.
"Hey what's going on up there" I hear someone yell.
Oh no it's Riker if he finds out I kissed Rydel he will literally kill me.
"Oh nothing" I say.
"Can I come up" he asks.
"Sure" I say.
"Rydel quick hide he can't know your up here" I say.
"K" she says as she hides behind the boxes.
"So what's up Riker" I say nervously.
"Just seeing what your doing up here and do you know where Rydel is" he asks.
"Ahchu" Rydel senses.
"Damn it" I mumble under my breath.
"What was that" "Was that Rydel" Riker asks.
"Um no" I say a little to quickly.
"Well that's not suspicious at all" Riker says sarcastically.
"Yeah hehe" I say.
Crap I am really blowing this.
"Ok enough of this crap Rydel I know your up there so come out or I will have to go get mom and dad" Riker says sternly.
"Ok Rydel come out if Riker goes to your parents we will both be dead" I at to Rydel.
"Oh hey Riker what's up" Rydel says.
"Oh nothing just seeing what you and Ratliff are doing" Riker says.
"We're just hanging out" I say.
"I know that but if your just "hanging out" why is Rydel's lipstick on your face Ellington"he says.
"What no it's not" I say.
"Here look in the mirror" Riker says.
I look in the mirror and see Rydel's pink lipstick all over my face.
"Oh god" I say.
"Care to explain" Riker says.
"Well I was up here getting some air and I found these old photos and I was looking at them and then Rydel came up here to find me and she was saying it's ok to be sad and stuff and then and then she kissed me" I say super fast.
I give Rydel a I'm sorry look and look back at Riker who's steaming mad.
"You kissed him" Riker screams at Rydel.
Rydels POV
"You kissed him"Riker yelled at me.
"Yes I did why do you have such a problem with it" I scream back.
"Because I don't want you to get hurt" Riker says.
"You've known El for what 5 years he is not going to hurt me" I say.
"Dude I promise I won't hurt her she to special" El says.
"On you can date if you want to but if you hurt her I will kill you" Riker says to Ratliff.
"Thanks Riker" I say. "Now will you please leave us alone " I ask.
"Sure no funny business though" he says.
"Gosh Riker get out of here already" I say.
"Ok ok I'm going" he says.
Riker leaves and El and I are left alone.
"So Rydel I have a question for you" El asks.
"What is it El" I ask.
"Rydel will you please be my girlfriend" he asks.
"Omg yes of course" I squeal.
I can't believe El just asked me to be his girlfriend this is the best day ever.
