''You're really going to go with him Mei? You know that I always miss you''

Mei slowly nodded before getting crushed in a hug by Natsumi. She had just found out about what Kakashi had told her. Natsumi was one of the only people who actually cared about Mei. Other people would bully her because of the rumours about her or just be fake kind to her because they're afraid of her capabilities.

''Thank you for looking after me Natsumi-san''

Her voice was almost a whisper but still loud enough for Natsumi to hear. The ravenette smiled and hugged the small girl even closer. ''Learn to speak more. You have a really great voice Mei''

The blue eyes girl nodded as she was released and walked over to where Kakashi was waiting.

It had been one week now so the leaf shinobi was all healed up. Especially since Natsumi used to be a kunoichi so she knew medical ninjutsu to some extend.

Mei made sure to take all her precious belongings such as the golden key, her stuffed rabbit and the chakra stone that her sister gave her before dying. It contained her voice, the most powerful weapon to the Ongaku clan. Her sister's voice had been the most powerful voice in the clan and she didn't want it to fall into the wrong hands so she asked Mei to keep it with her at all times. She now keeps it inside her stuffed rabbit. Nobody knows about her having it and she wanted it to stay that way.

''Let's get going then. I'm sure that you want to get there as soon as possible. I heard that it might snow soon'' She nodded and grabbed the silver haired man's hand, clutching her stuffed rabbit in the other.

As she walked out she could hear the whisper of all the other children around her. She didn't want to pay attention to them but she had nothing better to do but listen.

''Its the cursed girl''

''She's finally leaving''

''Her songs are nice though''

''They probably curse the people that hear them''

Unconsciously she tightened her hold on her rabbit. She knew that she didn't have any friends here so why was she so torn up about their comments. She knew that they would be happy that she finally left but she still feels sad about it since nobody will miss her.

She also knew that the villages would be the same. They wouldn't care about her leaving. They would just carry on with their normal lives just not noticing that the girl with silver hair and blue eyes is gone. Even is they did notice they wouldn't care.

All the girl was wearing today was a knee length, long sleeved red dress. One sock went up to her thigh and the other was calf length. Again no shoes but she still wore bandages under the dresses' sleeves and on her legs. A large gauze was on her right cheek and another gauze covered her left eye. A goodbye 'present' from one of her bullies.

Soon enough the pair had walked out of the village and were in the forest now on their way to Konohagakure. The air had gotten colder and a few clouds were above them telling them that it was either going to rain or snow. Most likely snow since this area is usually a snowy area.

As the first few drops of snow fell Mei was hoisted up onto the shinobi's back to be carried. She also had the perfect song in mind for this.

"Dancing Bears,Painted Wings,

Things I almost remember.

And a song someone sings,
Once upon a December."

As the small girl's voice drifted off into quiet, so did she. Her head lay on the silver haired jonin shoulder and her small quiet breathing filled the silence as the snow began to fall more heavily.

Kakashi sighed of relief and began jumping through the trees to get to Konohagakure faster.
