Mei's POV

''YEAH''

''Naruto you seem excited'' No shit sherlock. What gave it away? The smile? The shouting? The jumping around? Take your pick.

''Yeah, i've never left the village before. I'm a traveller now''

''Am i really safe with this brat?'' Tazuna whispered a little too loudly to Kakashi.

''Don't worry. I'm a jounin'' After that was said Naruto-san decided to start playing the 'Lets make Mei deaf game'

''HEY OLD MAN. DON'T INSULT NINJA. I'M INCREDIBLE. ONE DAY I'LL BE HOKAGE. MY NAME IS NARUTO UZUMAKI. REMEMBER IT!!!!''

By this point i just ignored their arguing and followed them out of the gates hugging Haru-chan closer to me. If any of the townspeople see me again......

I wouldn't mind seeing Natsumi-san again, but everyone else was horrible. Maybe that one lady Natsumi-san was friends with was nice. I think she had a son and lived in the forest area. What was her name again? Tsuna? Tsunama?

I was pulled out of my thoughts when i sensed another chakra. Two more. One in the trees and another close by. It felt salty. Water?

Thats when i saw the puddle. When walking over it i made sure to add chakra to my feet so they would be hurt. Idiots.

A second later, two people jumped out of the water and attacked Kakashi. I saw him use a substitution jutsu though so he wasn't really just killed by a bunch of chains.

They targeted Naruto-san next since he was frozen up but Sasuke-san kicked the chains out of the way. Banshee was holding a kunai up in front of Tazuna and i stood behind Sasuke-san.

One went to try take out Sasuke-san and the other came at me. I threw Haru-chan into the air so my hands were free and grabbed some of the senbon i keep to pin up hair and threw them at my opponant's shoulders. With his arms now useless, he dropped the chain and ran at me attempting a taijutsu fight i guess.

Haru-chan landed in my arms again to only be thrown in the air again so i could use more senbon needed. This time at his legs to make him stop. It worked and he fell to the ground.

As Haru-chan dropped i saw the client give me a look of disbelief when he looked at the stuffed bunny and then at me. Fuck. He recognises me.

The guy Sasuke-san was fighting made a dash for the client once he saw his parter in active on the ground. Before he got there, Kakashi-san appeared and grabbed him.

''Good job Sasuke and Mei. You too Sakura. Sorry Naruto, i didn't think you would freeze up like that''

''Hey, you alright, scardy cat'' Sasuke-san called over to Naruto-san. He got an angry look on his face and seemed like he was about to start yelling again.

Kakashi then started saying how he got cut with the poisened chain and we would have to go back to the villagebut then he cut his open even more. I wonder about this kid's sanity sometimes. But who am i to comment. I have over 50 torture methods (how many are we on again) for that snake when i see him again.

I wasn't really paying attention but i think Kakashi was explaing how he knew that they were here and started questioning Tazuna. At least Tazuna hasn't said anything comments to me yet like 'I refuse to be protected by the cursed child' or 'Uh, she's here'

''Kakashi, I need to talk to you''

As we continued walking, we made it to body of water that we would have to cross by boat. At least Tazuna hasn't said anything. Yet.

''We should see the bridge soon. The Wave country is at the base off the bridge'' The driver guy said.

''WOW IT'S HUGE'' He must really love the lets make Mei deaf game huh.

''Be quiet, why do you think we're hiding in the mist and not using the engine. We'll get in deep trouble id Gato finds us''

''So Tazuna, you haven't told us about this mission yet have you?''

''Right, it seems that a super dangerous man is after my life. You've probably heard his name before'' Everybody seemed to stop their conversations to hear what the drunk fuck had to say.

''The wealthy shipping magnet, Gato'' Gato? Like the Spanish word for cat. Cats? Like Mr Whiskers? OH FUCK! MR WHISKERS!! NOW I'M SAD.

''Huh Gato? From that Gato company. He's said to be one of the few wealthiest people in the world''

''Yes. Officially he runs a shipping company but secretly he sells drugs and other illegal items using ninja and hired gang members to take over other businesses and countries.

It was a couple years ago when he set his eyes on the wave country. Through violence and money he quickly took control of the countries shipping industry. Gato now has control over all business traffic in the country. The only thing he has to fear now is the completion of the bridge''

So, since he's a bridge builder he's a threat to Gato. And the Land of Waves was already quite poor so I guess he couldn't afford a B or A rank mission.

''If you quit the mission now, i'll surely be killed. But don't worry, my cute 10 year old grandson will only cry for a few days. And my daughter will live a sad life hating leaf ninja forever. But don't worry that's not your fault''

He's guilt tripping us. I'm in this mission to help Natsumi-san since she was always nice to me.

''Well I guess we have no choice. We'll protect you'' Well his tactic worked alright.

''And now i'm sure that the wave country will have its good luck back since Mei-sama is on your team. She protected us last time''

What? I did?

My team mates looked at me in shock while I just blinked in confusion. The driver seemed to look back at me in shock and started crying a little. ''Mei-sama is back. Thank kami''

WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?!

''Tazuna-san, what do you mean by 'Mei-sama''

''Yeah that dumb mute can't be special. All she does is stay quiet and carry that dumb rabbit like a five year old'' Banshee ranted. I was about to strangle her but seems like Tazuna beat me to it, kinda.

''DON'T DISRESPECT MEI-SAMA. SHE'S THE LAND OF WAVES' GOOD LUCK. When she left the country years ago, we started loosing money and then Gato arrived. AND SHE IS NOT MUTE. Whenever she used to sing, something good would happen. We used to think she was cursed but really she was giving our country good luck. People pray that she returns now''

Holy shit. I'm a fucking god here. Maybe going back won't be as bad as I thought. Yes bow down to me peasants.

When we finally arrived it seemed like Tazuna was worshipping the ground I walked on. I could get used to this.

Naruto tried to show up Sasuke-san by throwing a bunch of shurikans everywhere. He's right to be on guard though. I can sense two chakra signatures. They're faint meaning that they're trying to hide them but you can never fully erase your chakra.

I guess I was spacing out again since next thing I know I pulled onto the ground by Sasuke-san.
