Lost in your voice

Chapter 10

Mei's POV 

''Mei, wake up or you'll be late'' I cracked open one eye to look at who ever was disturbing me from my sleep. I have a kunai under my pillow and senbon in my sleeves. I am very serious about my sleep. 

Once my eye was opened far enough i recognised the person as Haru-chan. The clock next to my bed read 7 AM. We were supposed to be there by 5 AM but not me. Do i care? No. Should i care? Most likely. 

I already know the answer to the test though so there isn't really point for me to do the test. Knowing the team i'm on anyway only Sasuke-san would want to team up. Haru-chan doesn't count since Pinky and Naruto-san don't know about him yet. The only way they'll find out is if my life is in danger and i'm not strong enough. Besides, i refuse to talk to the other two on the team until they've gained my trust and respect. I think Naruto-san would earn it but pink bitch. Not a chance.

''You know, you could just tell Kakashi that you already know the answer so you don't have to take the test. Then you can have breakfast'' I thought about it for a while until i finally got up and stretched my arms.

''At least i won't starve. Pancakes for breakfast Haru-chan?'' He nodded and walked out of the room so i could change. 

Since i'm a ninja now i can't exactly wear dresses anymore. they'll just get in the way while i'm running and that would be a pain. I do have another outfit to wear though. 

I have a black and pale blue zip up short sleeved shirt with a grey jacket over it. (Like a chuunin and jonin vest) Also black leggings with dark blue ninja sandles. I have a weapon pouch on my right thigh and bandages covering my wrists and hands.

My hair would be done in a loose braid behind my back with senbon holding some of my fringe in place so i could get to my weapons easily. 

When i made my way downstairs Haru-chan was already there but inside the bunny and Kakashi-san was reading his book. ''Pancakes?'' I asked. He looked toward me and nodded before going back to his book. Stupid Icha icha. 

''The answer is teamwork. Can i have breakfast too'' I said while placing the plate in front of him. ''Sure. But you still have to do the test, i want to see how the others do'' I sighed and glared and the stuffed bunny in front my me. You lied to me. You fucking lied to me. You got me out of bed. And you woke me up. I'll get you back one of these days you fucking dragon demon.

''YOU'RE LATE!!!''

I just arrived and i think i need to check my ears. I swear, i'll go deaf one day because of those two. 

''Sorry, a black cat crossed our path so we had to go the long way'' I nodded to back him up. Kakashi-san pulled out a timer from god knows where and set it to noon before placing it on a stump. 

''Your task is to take these three bells from me before time's up. Those who don't have a bell by noon get no lunch. I'll not only tie you to one of the stumps but i'll also eat right in front of you'' 

As if on queue my three teammate's stomachs rumbled. I don't think Kakashi-san knows what he just said either. To eat in front of us he's going to have to take off his mask so, i'll finally know.

''You only have to get one bell and there are three so one of you will definitely be tied to the stump.... and the person who doesn't take a bell fails so at least one of you will be sent back to the academy. If you want you can use shurikens and kunai. You won't succeed unless you come at me with the intent to kill''

''But sensei, that's dangerous'' Oh please bitch. Kakashi-san is an ex ANBU captain with a sharringan. Like you'll even land a scratch on him.

''Yeah, you're so slow you can't even dodge a blackboard eraser. We'll definitely kill you'' Pshhhh. Yeah, no. The only one here who could kill Kakashi-san in a fight would be Haru-chan. 

''In the real world, those with no talent often bark the loudest. Well ignore Mr deadlast and start when i say....'' 

He didn't get a chance to finish before Naruto-san grabbed a kunai in attempt to hit Kakashi-san. Instead, he caught the his hand held the kunai to the back of Naruto-san's neck. ''Calm down. I haven't said start yet'' 

Pinky looked shocked and Sasuke-san smirked at Kakashi-san. I guess he finally acknowledges him as strong.

''Well it seems you're finally prepared to come at me with the intent to kill. So you've finally acknowledged me? It seems like... i'm beginning to like you guys. Ok lets get going. Ready.....BEGIN''
