Clawd's hand slides down to Draculaura's lower back as they look around the empty apartment. It's summer, only a month before college starts back up for them both again. Clawd draws in a deep breath, nodding. "As soon as school's over, I'm designing and building a house for us," he says.
"Yeah?" Draculaura asks.
He nods. "Yes, you, me, and the litter of pups we're gonna have."
She laughs and turns into him, wrapping her arms around his torso. "A whole litter, huh?" she asks.
"Obviously. What more do you expect from a Wolf?" he asks. "We like to have enough for, like, four soccer teams."
"Can we maybe settle for one soccer team? I don't think my fragile body can handle more than that," she says.
Clawd exaggerates a scoff. "Fine," he says dramatically. "One soccer team. Buzzkill." He moves his hand up to a place between her shoulders. Something feels... off about her. "What's wrong?" he asks.
"Nothing." She sighs; she can't lie to him. "I don't want to talk about it yet. We're having a nice day, okay?" she asks.
"Okay," he agrees with a warm smile. He leans down and kisses the top of her head. "You wanna go out for pizza?" he asks. He's unsure what date this will count as. He lost track around the one hundred range.
"One hundred and sixty-four," Draculaura says. She tilts her head back to look at him. "That's the date, and the answer's yes."
He smiles. "Thanks," he says with a laugh. His smile slowly fades as he lifts a hand to cup her cheek. "I love you," he whispers. "So damn much."
Her own smile grows. "I love you, too, Clawd. More than I ever thought was possible."
