Jess backs away from the door, letting me in.
"I'm sorry, what?" She asks.
"Our relationship. I'm ready to put a label on it."
Jess started to cry.
I don't know why.
I go to hug her, but she steps back.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about." She says, trying to steady her voice.
"Jess, what's wrong?" I ask. "Are you okay? What is wrong?"
She shakes her head, crying. "Nothing is wrong."
I smile, confused, putting my hand on her waist. "We need to talk about this. About us."
Jess turns away. "What us?" She asks.
