Their lead hadn't been able to give that much in the sense of their perp, but had been able to get some understanding of what his MO was.  On the way back to the Precinct, she got a call of another victim.  Maeve raced to the hospital to meet Olivia and Nick.  Finn was with her.  Rollins was staying behind to pull the police reports from the scene.  Cragen was coordinating with other Precincts.  They wanted this guy.  Maybe this time would be the one time he slipped.  She flashed her shield to the beat cop guarding the room where the victim was.  "SVU... Detectives Benson and Amaro should already be here."

He simply nodded and pushed the door open.  Maeve slid inside.  The curtain around the bed was pulled and Olivia and Nick were on the outside of it.  Olivia met her by the door.

"How is she?"  Maeve asked.

"Broken ribs, positive rape kit... fractured orbital bone, concussion... one of the ribs collapsed her left lung.  They're just finishing the suturing.  They had to sedate her.  She was hysterical."

"That monster..."  Maeve gritted her teeth.

Olivia patted her shoulder.  "We're gonna get him... no ifs ands or buts about it.  He won't get away with this."

"Damn straight he won't."  Maeve muttered.  She'd put the animal down herself if it came to it.

"Detectives."  The doctor came from behind that curtain.

"Doctor, how is she?"  Maeve asked.

"Considering what that animal did to her, she's lucky to be alive.  Her lung has been re-inflated, and we've given her medication to make the pain bearable.  We've sutured all her wounds... the nurse will give you the rape kit and photographs of the injuries..."  He snapped off his gloves.  "Get this monster.  No woman deserves to go through this."

"Do we have an ID on her?"  Nick asked.

The doctor shook his head.  "No.  She had no ID on her and was found in a bedroom at some house party, none of the guests ID'd her from what I was told."  He heaved a sigh and left the room.

Maeve groaned internally and headed to the victim's bedside.  The poor young woman was curled in almost a fetal position on the bed.  Maeve sat next to her.  She'd sit here until she woke up.  This woman needed someone to be there for her when she woke up.

Nick looked to Olivia.  "Do we just leave her here?"

"This is her case... she's the lead."  Olivia reminded him.  "She's taking it personally."

"She shouldn't."

"Nick, we've both been where she is... are you really going to be the one to try and stop her?"

Nick sighed.  He knew what Olivia was hinting at.  "No."

"Okay."  Olivia grabbed her phone.  "I'm gonna go with Fin back to the Precinct... you keep an eye on her."
