Cupid and Change

"Yes Weasley? Anything I can do that other's cannot do for you?" Loui asked, her irritation showing at every way possible.

Fred clad in his Gryffindor robes smiled at her with his hands inside his pockets warming them from the cold air in the dungeons tunnel, in his shoulder slung a worn-out satchel.

"Actually can you walk with me to the kitchen? Angelina's looking for a dessert because of her monthly period."

"And why would you ask for my help? MY HELP? I'm not your best friend nor that Angelina girl. May I remind you that we had a row the second time we saw each other." After Loui said the last word, as if on cue, Fred grabbed her wrist and pulled her towards the direction of the kitchen.

"Weasley!" Loui tried to stop the boy but she felt like this happened before and gave up after they passed the large doors of the Great Hall.

Once they arrived at the familiar painting, Fred let go of her wrist and looked at her glassed grey eyes which made her uncomfortable but decided not to show it. "You have the right since you are our lucky cupid." He said looking at her eyes as his finger tickled the pear.

"Since when?" She asked bewildered at the thought of her being a lovesick cupid, following Fred waltz inside the kitchen.

"Since you kneed me and I have never been taken care of Angelina like that, so thank you." He turned around facing Loui and gave her the mischievous smile that made Loui's heart race inside her ribs.

'Dearest Lovely Louisiana,

I know that I have congratulated your sorting to the noble Slytherin home for many times but I am so proud of you dear. There has never been a day when I did not mention this to my tea friends.

The reason why I wrote this letter is to inform you that you shall spend your Christmas holiday at Hogwarts, I have been very busy with tea parties and balls and have been invited to spend Christmas season in the northern Russia by my dear old friend, Theodore Grimm.

Don't worry dear, your gifts will arrive in your common room at Christmas Eve, some of them are from my old friends who were once a Slytherin in their Hogwarts years. Make use of them.

Love, Grandmother.'

There were few students who were left behind in the castle including the Weasleys and Potter.  Every single day Loui always had her breakfast beside Harry and Ron who is on the other side of the table.

It was already Christmas Eve and as usual, Ron boasted his chess skills to Loui which made her snap and play a single game with him in the table. The game didn't lasted for three minutes, "Bishop to C-5. Checkmate." Loui proudly announced her last move.

Ron frowned and pointed his index finger at her. "You're cheating."

Loui smiled back while she collecting her chess pieces, "No, am not."

"Yes you are, it's as if you can read my mind?"

"And how do you think I can do that?" She challenged smiling more if possible. Ron opened his mouth but no words came out. "Cat got your tongue?" She teased more and leaned closer to Ron.

"Ron?" Harry asked worried at the ginger.

"I'm done playing." Ron muttered and got up after he hastily collected his old chess pieces and stomped out of the Great Hall.

Harry stood up and apologized to Loui, "Sorry Loui, it's just that Ron is having a Christmas he wants and ... you just-"

"Destroyed the vibe? Of course, I understand Harry."

Harry gave her a sincere smile and ran out of the Great Hall leaving Loui alone. Sighing, she took a chocolate filled biscuit from one of the snack display.

Loui turned her head to the windows and saw snow falling outside, she immediately got up from the seat and ran to her dormitory to get her cloak and books.

Cold. Loui pulled the cloak closer to her, after reading for about an hour beside the frozen Black lake, she decided to go back to the castle and ask for a cup of cocoa in the kitchens.

She was walking on the courtyard when- "Oww!" A snowball hit her head. Her books almost felt from her chest, she turned around and saw two familiar bright hairs behind a barricade made of snow.

Loui huffed and placed her books on the snowy ground, collected snow and threw it to the twin on the right.

"Oww!" The twin yelled while the other laughed at his twin's state. Loui threw another ball and hit the other twin.

The twins turned around and Loui locked eyes with Fred. "Hullo." She greeted before throwing another one at George but he managed to block it in the last minute.

"You little puffskein!" Fred yelled and playfully threw two snow balls at her.

Loui got her wand out of her cloak and casted a shield charm. "That's cheating." George groaned.

"You didn't set rules." She laughed and stuck her tongue at them before muttering a spell, summoning 5 snow balls around her. "Fire!" She yelled and pointed her wand at the twin's direction and like a machine gun, the snow balls flew towards them.

"Ahhh!!" The twins yelled and ducked in their small snow barricade. It hit the snow barricade, Loui thought of an idea and pointed her wand at the barricade again but casted a melting charm.

As if summer passed, the thick snow barricade turned to water. "Run!!"

"Wait here you gits!" Loui yelled running after the two.
