Summer of Nostrade
Bored. Louisiana Nostrade is bored. Thousands of books surrounding her room but not one caught her interest and attention.
She just sat on the seat by the large window in her room and watched as the fountain behind their mansion run.
Her grandmother was away in France for two weeks. She was supposed to join her but she declined saying she wanted to do nothing but to read the tomes that were given to her as Christmas gifts.
She rested the side of her cheek at her knuckle, bored. Then at the sky, she saw an owl which looked extremely old, it took a moment before she remembered seeing that one, it was the Weasley family's old barn owl.
"Here we go again."
After the incident in the platform, Folly, the sharp blue eyed house elf appeared and had apparated her to the manor, of course not forgetting to thank the boy who helped her stand not looking at his eyes , give the two boys a dark and sharp glare and a sweet, kind smile to their mother then let her favorite house elf, apparate her to the inside of the manor.
Upon arriving, she went to her room and locked herself, knowing her grandmother is away and wouldn't need to fake a smile.
The first two weeks of summer, she received apology letters from the twins and their parents, mostly from Mrs. Weasley who kept on saying that she already made the boys clean their garden and had punished them by confiscating their chemistry set.
The girl wanted to roll on the floor from embarrassment. Not only she made herself look like a fool in front of Mrs. Weasley but also cause distress for the worried mother.
The owl was about to land on the window pane but instead of landing on it, Errol bumped his head on it causing it to fall. Loui stood from surprise and saw the owl fall in slow motion.
"Folly!" The house-elf appeared on her side, curious yet smiling at her.
"Yes, Mi-"
"Save that owl!"
⚡️
"Honestly, the boys could have just come here and say 'sorry'." Loui huffed as she placed the water and the treats for the owl nearer its beak. "You've been coming here two weeks now. Aren't you tired?" Loui stared at the owl's eyes, expecting an answer but it was too busy eating his treats.
"No manners. Just like Fred." Loui glared at the owl, expecting it to morph into the older twin but it didn't. "I am becoming mad, aren't I?"
She shook her head and directed her attention to the letter on her hands.
'Loui,
We're terribly sorry -well- not really, you're just too funny and we couldn't resist to laugh ...
Sorry Loui, that's Fred. We wrote this letter because we wanted to say sorry and we miss you terribly. What have you done to us anyway that we couldn't resist you?-'
"That's so cheesy." Loui snorted.
'Kidding aside, we wanted to show you something. I think we just found a certain creature on our woods.'
The girl raised a brow.
'We found it when we ventured last night. We knew you couldn't resist magical creatures and no- we're not luring you to come here ... but honestly, we want you to spend the rest of the summer on our house. We want us to be friends again. Later at 10 pm, we'll be coming there to get you -don't ask how- if you don't want to leave your grand mansion, write to us and use Errol, though the owl is old, he's quite useful ... sometimes.
