Elle's POV

As my phone hit the ground time seemed to stop.

"What happened? Are you still there?" My aunt Kirsty said sniffling. "I-I'm fine I said in a shaky voice. I picked up my phone and hung up. I felt as if the world had just ended or time stopped and I was stuck in an endless loop.

Aden, he was in a coma. He might die. He was there for me during my best and worst moments and was always ready to comfort me when we lost battle. He was my best friend he was like a brother. Even if I only saw him once every two weeks I texted him almost everyday. He was in a coma.

He could be gone.

"What's wrong?" I was brought out of my whirlpool of thoughts as Felicity spoke. "I'm fine, but I have to go now, my cousin is in a coma," I grabbed my jacket that I had taken off and slipped it on and put my hair up with the hair tie that I always wore just in case I needed it.

Malia gasped once I told them the news. "Oh no! I hope that he will be fine!" Felicity nodded. "Are you going to the hospital?" I nodded yes to Felicity's question. "When you get back home text us how everything went," Felicity added.

"Let me walk you out," Malia said. Once the two of us reached the front door Malia turned to me. "I hope that your cousin is okay, I bet that he's just as great as you, and thank you for accepting me when I had just moved here and had no friends." Malia looked at me with a true smile while I smiled back forgetting about Aden.

The hospital that Aden was in wasn't too far from Malia's house so I just walked there. I probably would've walked even if it was far away, I don't have a car. As my feet thudded on the footpath a droplet of rain landed on my neck. "You've got to be kidding me," I muttered looking up at the gray sky. The light drops of rain turned into heavy rain that was completely soaking me in a matter of minutes. I wrapped my jacked around me trying not to freeze.

A sigh of relief escaped my lips as I saw the tall building that was known as my towns hospital. The hospital was a modern looking new building that was very expensive to build. It had lots of long windows that were on each side of the building. I felt like crying thinking of Aden lying, skin extremely pale on the hard bed almost lifeless.

I entered the hospital and a strong scent of hand sanitizer filled the air. I rubbed some clear hand sanitizer onto my hands (duh,) and went to the front desk. "Hello how may I help you?" A lady that looked 26 asked. She had dark blue hair and crystal blue eyes. "I'm here to see Aden Gordy," I said looking at the computers behind the lady.

"Are you a relative of his?" She asked giving me a plastic smile. "I'm a close cousin," I said playing with a loose strand of my hair. "He's on floor 5, section B. I'm not sure if you can see him though, so you'll have to ask someone else," The lady said. I mumbled a quick thanks and went over to the elevator.

I stepped out of the elevator and looked around the big room. In the center of the room there was lots of chairs. On one side there was a desk where a man stood talking to a old lady who was yelling at him. On the other side there were lots of doors that led to the separate patient rooms. I saw My aunt Kirsty sitting in one of the chairs with my uncle, my mum and my older cousin Posy. I walked over to them trying my best not to cry.

"Elle," Kirsty's voice sounded worst in real life. Her red eyes made it obvious that she had been crying, well they all looked like they had been crying. I hugged my aunt and uncle. "What happened?" I asked, surprised at how shaky my voice sounded.

Posy brushed a lock of her dark red hair out of her face. Posy was Aden's older sister. I never saw her much because she was always out with her friends or at her apartment. "He was in a car with one of his friends, I don't really know all the details but their car crashed into another car and they got in a car accident," Posy tried her best not to cry and I knew what she was thinking. "You are a great sister," I quickly said. She looked up and gave me a small smile.

"Can I see him?" I asked. My mum nodded while my uncle pointed to Aden's room. "Don't be in there for too long it's not good for you to see him like this," My uncle said. I nodded, how bad could he look? Well he was in a coma. I walked over to his room and held the door handle. I hesitated for a second uneasiness filled me but I ignored it and pushed the door open.

On the bed Aden lied, his brown hair stuck to his forehead. There were numerous casts on him and he had lots of cuts. He was deathly pale and the only thing that showed that he was alive was the slow beeping of the heart monitor and the slight rising and falling of his chest. I felt my eyes water and furiously began to rub them. I had to stay strong for my family.

I sat down in the chair next to Aden and sighed running my fingers through my hair. A few tears rolled down my face as I looked at Aden. Why did this have to happen to him? I held his hand and tried my best to compose myself. I grabbed my compact mirror out of my bag and looked at my refection I dried my tears with a tissue and fixed my hair a bit, now I looked like I didn't cry at all.

I looked at Aden with hope-filled eyes wishing that he would sit up and say that he was just pranking us and we'd laugh about it and go home. I stood up, smoothed my shirt and went to the door. I looked back at Aden over my shoulder before whispering something to him. "I'll be back tomorrow," I didn't know if he heard me or not but I swear that I saw him smile out of the corner of my eye.

A tear rolled down my cheek as I pushed the door open, I rubbed my eye with the sleeve of my jacket. There goes looking presentable, I thought smiling even though I was sad. I looked over to where My family was sitting, they looked tired especially Kirsty. "How was it?" My mum asked. I sighed gloomily, "He seemed fine, I just wish that he wasn't in a coma," I looked to my uncle who nodded sadly.

"I'm going to go now, it's getting dark I'll be home by eight," I told my mum before leaving the hospital, but my sadness seemed to leave with me. Once I was far enough away from the hospital I lost my composure as tears streamed down my face. It was after two minutes when I noticed the boy across the street with blonde hair. The boy noticed me and rushed across the street to see why I was crying in the middle of the footpath.

"Hey, are you alright?" The way the boy spoke was so gentle and caring. I hiccuped. "I-I'm fine," I looked up at the boy, he looked very familiar. I looked closely at his eyes when I finally realised who he was. "Can you stop staring at me like that? It's kind of freaking me out" Seth said awkwardly laughing. "Seth?" I asked drying my eyes.

"Yes? have we met before?" He asked confused. "You bumped into me the other day and my friend got into a huge argument with Daniel," I said. He looked confused for a moment before his eyes lit up with recognition. "Oh yeah! you're that girl!" He said as if he just discovered that aliens are real. And gee thanks, great to know that I'm a girl.

We went to a small cafe near the hospital and talked for a bit. I explained why I had been crying. We just talked and talked for what seemed like hours until I had to go home. Seth wasn't as bad as I thought he was. (I also forgot to text Felicity and Malia, oops,).

A/N Did you like it? ADEN!!! I actually cried writing this. Do you think that he will be alright and Seth and Elle are now friends! (They're basically BFFs now!) Also just because I do like an edited picture of someone with their name doesn't mean that they are important whatsoever, I just make them when I'm bored. BYE!!!!!!!!!
